It's horrifying what mob mentality can do, even to the educated, intelligent, decent people on DCUM.
Just leave these parents alone. They're not monsters. They didn't raise a monster. Their son is accused of killing a woman, and that's not their fault. It's the son's fault.
Stop spreading rumors and nasty assumptions about people you don't know.
They literally helped a murderer escape. That is monstrous.
Escape from what, exactly? When he left their home, nobody even knew Gabby was dead.
They did.
Apparently, the media or family got that wrong. She and Brian were living in a condo owned by Brian’s parents. Interesting that her dad moved to FL to be near her, yet he wasn’t the one helping his daughter get settled? Agree this whole thing is a tragedy.
I say debatable. Well, let’s see - if they dialed her cell phone I say they didn’t know. If there is no record of them trying to make contact with her after he returned, 100% they knew.
She lived with them so even if he said she isn’t coming home, she wanted to stay, etc… the proof (IMO) is in whether or not they reached out to call her.

I’m glad we won’t have a trial and all that nonsense. Tragic waste of lives.

Yep. Especially in a subtropical environment.

1) If my child seems off, I am calling the authorities right away and any use of STAN, I'm calling authorities. I'm not waiting 2 weeks for report missing.
2) I am not going to allow anger to fill my life if my child is murdered. I'm going to try to allow forgiveness and empathy to fill my life instead. I'm definitely not going to blame the parents of the murderer for their child's sins.
3) if my child commits a crime or I'm suspicious of them committing murder, etc, I am not going to allow them back to my home. They can go to the police and surrender or run away but do not get me involved. I will not be a part of it and allow it to ruin my life.
4) the justice system sucks -- silence should not be a right but instead anything you say should not be used against you so you don't need to be silent. That way, honest people who make mistakes are rewarded. Like if Brian knew that he'd get 5 years for accidental murder if he went to the police on August 27 but life if he stayed silent, this wouldn't have happened.
5) we need to teach DV in public schools like we teach sex ed, drug use, etc -- children should recognize it and stay away from it, and perpetrators should get help asap to stop the cycle.
It's been a traumatic two months for many of us as we've relived our own abuses so I'm glad it has come to an end and I hope something good will come out of it.

Lol BL’s “ drawings” are basically pre- adolescent garbage and of no value ( not like he put a computer or camera in the wet bag like most people ) A dry bag for a doodle pad ??? Lol . Most likely this was the parents trying to preserve the concocted “ evidence “ that their son died in the preserve so that LE will stop looking for him
Also only possible reason I can think of for these parents to be going about mowing their lawn and tending their garden as if their son weren’t rotting in a swamp a few miles away - cause he wasn’t
