Loudoun lucky to get out of Howison Homestead Park with a point.
Terrible game. Loudoun might have completed 3 passes once and VDA never got close to three consecutive passes.
I must’ve watched a different game than you. Loudoun should get their money back from coach. She’s using the same kickball tactics that were successful in small-sided games on tiny fields. VDA tried to possess (although they didn’t do a very good job). My money is on VDA meshing as a new team abd getting better and Loudoun falling off like their 2007’s will. This will be due to lack of good coaching and instruction.
Or maybe the players just aren’t that good. Instructing poor players to possess and pass out of the back at all times can court disaster.
Loudoun players are good enough to pass it around if they are coached to do it.

Seems Arlington parents are pretty confident going into next year. That's great but do any of you really think you are on the same level as Loudoun?
I firmly stick by my feelings about FCV. The only thing that could change that is if the play-ups come back on age and we all know that is not going to happen.
VDA is the only big question as to what kind of player pool they were able to get, I honestly don't know but they usually have strong teams moving into 11v11.
As for Maryland, Pipeline took the top Baltimore Union Players and the best Celtic players went to Baltimore Armour. So yes, Celtic Union GA is going to struggle. Baltimore Armour will be the top GA team in the DMV.
Metro will be middle of the pack, again, pending the current '09 play-ups. If those players do not play on age, Metro could very well be below FCV. Great Falls did not have a great season and I do not know how many are making the change to Metro or moving to other Clubs.
Prediction:
1. Loudoun ECNL
2. Bethesda ECNL
3. Virginia Union ECNL (McLean)
4. Pipeline ECNL
5. VDA ECNL
6. Baltimore Armour GA
7. Arlington ECNL
8. Coppermine Premier
9. VYS
10. PPA Green
11. MD United ECNL
12. Metro United GA
13. Loudoun Red
14. FC Virginia GA
15. Celtic Union GA
Feel free to post your own prediction.

Well Bethesda made up for that. Probably completed 2,000 passes between both games but sometimes kick and run tied together with a bad bounce will get you the L. Don’t get me wrong, Loudoun is a big, fast and physical team. Played to there strengths. Nothing wrong with kick and run. Others who actually know soccer understand this is actually called a counter attacking team. Loudoun’s goalie is top notch as well.
VDA just needs time to bond. But trying to catch up to Loudoun and Union will be tough though.
Bethesda and Loudoun are going to tie or beat on or the other on any give day.
Union are one step behind Bethesda and Loudoun. Beating small club teams however is not going to help them but probably have the opposite affect.
