She sold 2 homes for $60 million and her daughter is worried about how they will pay for her home health aides? Talk about being out of touch.![]()
I agree that she has a ton of money regardless, but it’s unclear who actually got the proceeds from those sales.
And as long as there are Senate Republicans threatening to leave her Judiciary Committee seat vacant if she resigns, she needs to stay. Nobody trusts those aholes to rely on rules or precedent or fairness or respect.

Translation: It is her choice to remain on the Judicial Committee. Or, the Dems are forcing her to stay.

That’s a wrong translation. Multiple Republican senators have indicated that they are not inclined to vote to replace her on the judiciary committee, because without her Democrats will have trouble confirming judges. Ben Cardin offered to replace her on the committee when she was out and they said no.
This has to do with the “rules” of the senate. Dems made the rules and you need 60 votes for anything. This allows the dems to talk big, do nothing and raise money. I can see the fundraising letters now- This next election will be the most important election ever, blah, blah, blah. We need to win 15 senate seats or we will do nothing again! We can not change these rules because if the republicans win they will make abortion illegal, pack the court with corrupt right wing judges, etc, etc.
