It's not bad. It's not good either. Honestly might be good with salsa or hot sauce. Let me try that.

So many hate Thanksgiving and turkey. For theove of god, brine your turkey people. Follow the NYT's brining recipe to a T. I am absolutely salavating at the throught of a nice, very tasteful and not dry turkey using that brine recipe and topped with gravy. Soooooooooo good.
Tried it. Still would rather have any other type of meat.

Try dry brine and buy a quality turkey. Well raised turkey tastes so flavorful.
+1
The dry brine is the key and so much easier than the wet brine!
Honestly, the one year I bought a heritage turkey, I was underwhelmed for the price. Last year, I just used Giant's Nature's Promise organic and it turned out great.
Anonymous wrote:PP, you’re not alone. My grandmother introduced the cheddar and peanut butter combination to my mother and then it skipped a generation (I don’t like it!) but now my daughter is obsessed with it and she has also introduced it to some of her friends.

Consider trying a nice fresh natural peanut butter lightly spread inside a sharp cheddar quesadilla.
Ew WTF?? Now that is controversial.
I KNOW.
But think about trying it sometime. It's not what you would expect at all.
You sweet thing. You really are pushing this!
OK, we might need a separate thread for the people you want to win over.
I have Ortega soft tortillas, shredded cheddar cheese and Jif. Will that work? Or do I need top tier ingredients?
Sure! I think natural peanut butter is better, but I be that would work. Or at least be worth a go.
How sweet of you to be willing to try!(I might just be crazy. I think I may have said it was the best thing my ex left me? Never would have tried on my own.)

Have you considered that he may have been trying to slowly kill you?

No, this was early on, when things were still good. He'd occasionally grab a quick breakfast after a run, with a quesadilla wrapped around a piece of sharp cheddar. Added peanut butter for more protein. I thought it sounded DISGUSTING. (I KNOW. I really do.)
But it was oddly not peanut-buttery? Just, maybe, richer? more depth of flavor? Anyway, my work used to do themed potlucks before COVID. I was going to wait until we started back up and it was my turn, and I'd propose a theme of "unexpected combinations" and try it out on people. I'm kind of giddy that I might be able to do it anonymously instead.
Do you mean a quesadilla wrapped around cheese, or a TORTILLA?

My preferred s'more includes Keebler fudge striped cookies instead of graham crackers.
