On Tuesday, the Cape Cod Times reported that Linda Zuern, a former member of the Bourne, Massachusetts Board of Selectmen and a Trump-supporting figure in the local Republican Party, had died of COVID-19.

Zuern died at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston of severe complications caused by COVID-19, according to the report. She was 70 years old and had not been vaccinated

as someone that knew Linda from local government I can tell you she was extremely hardworking - but I can also tell you that she was a nasty and spiteful bigot that will be missed by nobody.

she wasted the final years of her life in a hateful spiral where she would blame immigrants and democrats for everything from traffic jams to people littering in the park.

she openly mocked the less fortunate that died of COVID so it seems only fitting she left this world in the same way.

my condolences to the rest of her family for having to put up with her mentally ill nonsense for as long as they did.


If you read between the lines of the article, it's obvious she was a nasty, hateful, person. Even the people that tried to be nice struggled to find something positive to say and it was all presented with a "but"

But why are we still using medical resources on people who want to die from the virus? Completely serious question.


I have no idea. What a waste of resources. The article I read is that she had travelled out west with her mother and they both returned with COVID. She was 70 and died. How old is the mother and is she hospitalized? Good move, getting your mother sick.


When this is all over, there should be a massive lawsuit against every person who spread COVID disinformation for cost recovery of all of these wasted resources.
