I'm absolutely positive it's the GOP. This isn't a competitive district for the Dems. Not to say they wouldn't love him gone - but not worth the effort to replace him with someone who won't be much different policy-wise and will cause less embarrassment to the GOP.

Also, keep in mind that when he was in the primary two years ago, he defeated a friend of Mark Meadows' wife who Meadows had endorsed.

So I'm guessing there is pretty much no one in the party outside the Crazy Caucus who likes him and many people who despise him.

I did. It makes no mention of the fact that members of Congress to this day continue to legally engage in insider trading.

This case has nothing to do with any information Cawthorn may have learned in his capacity as a member of Congress. It’s because of his status as an insider. Stop trying to whatabout and ask Chris Collins if you can’t be prosecuted and convicted for insider trading as a sitting member of Congress.

And as the cherry on top, he didn’t even comply with the toothless law that is supposed to prevent insider trading y members of Congress.

Every time I see this thread bumped I hope Kevin McCarthy has put his foot down and told Maddy to resign. But that would take resolve, which Quevin doesn’t have.
