We don't have to panic, but I also don't think we should be allowed to carry on like nothing is going on. But I think that IS the plan- carry on like nothing is going on and hope it goes away until there are more positives, more deaths, and we hit a crisis.

The magnet school or the K-8?
The high school
If they tested negative why are they closing the school?
The test is notoriously unreliable. This person will be tested at least two more times.

The problem is you can?t get tested. I have been exposed to someone who has tested positive and have risk factors. My doctor has tried, and they say I don?t meet criteria. Something has to change about this process.
Until you're symptomatic, there's no point in testing anyway. Be patient.
Not true. Plenty of asymptomatic positives, in countries that test.
The test here in the US is RT-PCR. It is very sensitive to any corona virus material. The person does not need to be symptomatic.

The mayor is very much in denial and her denial game is only going to work for a short while. I thought DC had progressed in recent years, but it clearly hasn?t.

This is very reasonable and it makes me wish my kids were in a private.
My kids' DCPS principal is barely acknowledging the virus.
