Well since Bullis, Prep and Landon have been breaking IAC rules for years it’s about time STA did too. Doubt they can get enough laxers who can handle the academics though. No excuses are made for athletes there. Too many dumb jocks in the lacrosse ranks.

This is what is wrong with STA. Their elitist, narcissistic attitude and self-aggrandizing behavior really turns a lot of people off. STA is a good academic school, but they aren't the only strong academic IAC school. They also don't have only super smart boys or hold the monopoly on smart boys. Don't kid yourself, there are some average and slightly above average boys at STA and there are TONS of very smart boys at other schools. Another flaw in your comment is that there are "too many dumb jocks in the lacrosse ranks". That's actually offensive to a lot of people. The majority of "jocks" in the IAC are actually very smart and could absolutely handle the academics at STA. STA's difficulty in recruiting strong athletes is not their academics, it's their community (which turns a lot of people off for various reasons) and their poor athletic record in many sports. An aspiring top college recruit is most likely not going to chose a school with a loosing record/reputation vs a school with a winning record/reputation. A school with a history of many top commits vs a school with fewer. It is not about the academics being too hard for the majority of potential applicants, that is just an excuse the STA community likes to tell itself to feel better. Get off your high horse, it may just be your Trojan horse.

Exactly why we did not consider STA.

St Alban's openly breaks the rules--even posting on Social Media, the other schools are much more discrete.

That's sjc, not sta. Big difference. One needs it for students and the other for student athletes.

STA isn't the only one holding - and charging - for a "prospect" camp. St. John's has been actively conducting outreach for their camp, which is this Sunday.

STA is ramping up its recruiting efforts under the new headmaster for the helmet sports.

Keep in mind, recruiting wasn't much of a thing under the previous headmaster so don't think the school will ever come close to what Bullis was doing for the past decade.

Trying desperately to recruit new lacrosse players to the school in an attempt to improve their history of dismal IAC standings.

It’s on the STA lacrosse Instagram page, so yes the school is aware and sponsoring.

At a minimum, Landon and Bullis are doing the same, maybe other. Not sure if those cost money. $50 seems a bit rich.
