Arlington Dad, you still do not understand what we are talking about. Fast transition is not the same as kickball you son plays in Arlington. Nobody is against strong fast players - we all need them. I think you missed the point. Not every dead here is a snowflakes from around the beltway. Some of us did play pro in Europe and some coached there.

Also heard the same and a couple of 07s. Not good if the 05s were coached by Bo and one of the club's best team.



05 npl players were under Bo, because his son was on this team. Some went to Arlington, some elsewhere. 07s were coached by Nic. All of the 07s from Nic's team (not sure which one) went to Olympiacos as well as a bunch of the 08s. Know from parents who have no reason to lie.



05s were definitely the best club team. There was as a discussion and analysis of their play by some qualified coaches here yesterday. All agreed that they also play kick and run style. The video is still somewhere here. In other words, Bo always coaches the same way - no matter what age group, nothing had changed over 20+ years. VillaReal had no impact on this and will not in the future. Unfortunately, players that only know this style of play are not needed anywhere except for the US colleges and even that is changing. If they do not know how to build from the back and possess through the midfield, they will not be picked. There are always exceptions, but in general these players have no future.

If Bo did not coach that game it is not good. He needs to be at the tournament game if this is his team. However, he did coach the team for a year and that is how they play. When Bo is there it is exactly the same kick and run game. Same idiotic goal kicks etc. So Bo was responding - bingo!!! I told you Bo is here and reads it. Ha..ha. Keep writing Bo Carlos got your back here. Wish he was a bit more civil though I would definitely keep my kids away from these two "professionals". BTW, drove by their try out. Not many kids, level is quite low - ODSL, third teams etc.

Not sure. I may be that other guys. I said that all his players run faster than they can think. NEVER did his teams play good soccer - just a kick and run game for years. Nothing false about this info. Nothing personal either - a fair assessment of a coach who has been in the area for like 20 years. Pretty hard to make staff like this up. Is it not true? Is it not true that he screams like a degenerate from the side line trying to tell players what to do while they need to know from training. Coaching is not giving instructions from the side line for every single play.

Well -very few clubs in the area play true possession so most players in the DMV will have no future. I have had parents tell me their kids’ team plays it only to watch and realize the parents think connecting 2 or 3 passes means possession. Most still just punt or long ball it out (even when other options available so as not to have a 50-50 ball), zero building out of the back.


Absolutely correct!!!! Even if the pass some, there is not structure and understanding of where the pressure is and switching the points of attack.

Most of the 05s are staying. There are three that are leaving but 2 of them are still undecided.


Not true, they already signed with Arlington etc.

The mls is the same, why do you think real betis killed dc united 5-2 when real betis only used 2nd team players.

True. And there is not a single player on either of those teams who could not play absolutely elite possession-based soccer at the drop of a hat (and all of them almost certainly were developed in that way). Nobody at any elite level played kickball in their formative years.

I think the problem with this comes when these little boys who play cowardly soccer cannot become men and get their butts kicked by the same U11, U12 and U13 teams from clubs that learn how to play with guts and honor. Oh and by the way there are plenty of athletic kids who can play all styles, as long as they learn it.
