Deal is IB because it guarantees science, social studies and language are offered every day and was implemented as part of the effort to entice UMC parents to enroll (newsflash -- it worked). That said it is not clear (to me) that the current Administration really supports IB and it seems to be eroding due to policies such as the DCPS zero grading which is at odds with the IB scoring system.
