I would.
I admire Michelle Obama as a wonderful wife and mother (who happens to be married to the perfect man), and she is extremely personable and well educated, but what qualifications does she have to be President? Serious question, not a slam.
I'd argue she's more qualified than the current president. I don't see her running, though. She made it pretty clear over the course of her husband's terms that she disliked presidential politics and living in the White House bubble.

Bloomberg is a centrist, he has a record of good governance, and he has a certain gravitas. I'd be fine with either one as the candidate. Both are honorable men who would defer to the VP if their faculties declined. I'd love to have a female VP, and Klobuchar would be a good choice. For better or worse, this is not the time for a far left centrist or, sadly, a person of color, if we want to win.
The last time I saw Bloomberg in person was about 10 years ago and he looked old then. He’s 76 years old now and he looks it! Biden looks a bit more lively and has more blue collar appeal but again, he has too much baggage. We can do better than these two guys.
I watched a Biden speech recently. He looks older and slowed down a bit. I don't think he has the energy for a campaign. I really want someone young and energetic.

He is also very old. I want younger people in decision making roles... especially women, POC (and possibly non-evangelical). Our decision making class is far too White Old Men heavy to make sane policies for all.
Isn't the fact that he's "probably liked by a lot of Whites" a critical element needed to win the general election? What is wrong with "White Old Men" as long as they are making good decisions?
In my experience, White Old Men (WOM) have not made right policies for everyone. They have made policies and compromises that benefits White Old Men. They are more autocratic, selfish and narcissistic. So, if I have choice between a generic WOM and someone else, the other one wins a brownie point...of course I will scrutinize their policies before voting. But as a nation, it is my firm belief that, we need to move away from electing the WOM to progress as a nation where EVERYONE's "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" is weighed equally.
But the title of this thread is "Which Dem can win general election in 2020?", not "Which Dem do you want to win the general election in 2020?"
I don't care if the candidate is white, if the candidate is old, or if the candidate is a man. I want the Democratic candidate most likely to defeat Trump.

-Hillary fan who understands, more than ever, that we are so far from electing a woman president
You think two Jewish people could win in Trump’s America?
