Tulane apparently thinks the smart kids don’t really wish to attend and you’ve got to keep those admission stats up. Hope DC enjoys Alabama.

Alabama is a great school. For what it's worth, my daughter turned down Yale for University of Florida. She graduated two years ago. No regrets. She loved her college experience. And she had a great job offer before she graduated.

Are you actually interested, or just hoping some schadenfreude will improve your mood after your own rejection?

That is a blow. I'm sorry. Turns out most kids are happy where they land. Good luck with turning the deferrals to admits.

Cornell and Northwestern are very understandable, but Wisconsin somewhat less so, but Tulane ?- something is off there. Anyway deferral doesn't necessarily mean rejection.

Close friend Ed athletic recruit. Place is still skyrocketing.

How is their architecture program my dc got into Pratt today. Deciding between NU for EDll and Tulane or Pratt

Yeah! Pratt - not so shabby for an artsy kid!

My DC also got into Pratt this week, thankfully with merit money, otherwise we could not swing it. DC was thrilled as he came relatively late to the art game. Conversely got accepted with a sizable scholarship to Catholic U's architecture program, but no longer wants to pursue architecture.

Congratulations to your DC! Same for my DC. Couldn’t be happier!

And my kid, with a hefty amount of merit aid, so we can actually afford it.

Oops. Forgot to wish you both congrats!
