This. Most parents certainly think they know their children, but they really don't have a clue.

I think one parent at home is worth EVERY bit of the financial sacrifice. Children require care that is stable, competent and loving. Very few nannies or daycare workers will love your child the way you do.

Not everyone brought back from an OD will go right back to using & not everybody who struggles with a drug addiction fails to contribute anything positive to society. Some brought back from an OD will be able to successfully use the experience as a wake up call to get (& remain) clean. Some will start using again but will get (& remain) clean at some point in the future. Still others will never acheive lasting sobriety but will nonetheless make beneficial contributions to society that wouldn't have been possible if they had been left to die.

I'm so sorry, PP.

Thank you. She was waiting for a bed at a treatment facility which was supposed to be available in three days. Her family is shattered. The detectives believe the heroin was laced with fentanyl. Never in a million years could I imagine this would happen to her. She had a huge heart and sadly she tried heroin.

Something is wrong with you if you think we should just let kids OD in school.

I agree we need to try and save people who are overdosing but I really wish they could be sterilized after a couple overdoses. These babies born hooked on opioids is heart wrenching, not to mention all the kids that go to foster care because their parents are using heroin.
