She pretty much insulted all of Trump supporters. She said half of them are deplorable and irredeemable, and the other half are (losers) feeling left behind - that's pretty insulting too. I am a highly educated professional supporting Trump because corrupt career politician can't get stuff done.

Oh and based on that he's going to "sway a nation"? You're the one living in a bubble if you can't differentiate one black activist from another, let alone understand the diverse views within the African American community.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Uh, no, that is not accurate. I am, as a white Jew, more afraid if BLM and Muslim extremists as both have said they want me dead. Progressive liberals give them a pass.
Ironic that BLM, a group determined to expose and get sympathy for bigotry against blacks, is bigoted against Jews. In fact, I find it ironic that blacks, in general, are more antisemitic than other groups. Asians appear to be the least antisemitic.
Farrakhan is a BLM supporter. The anti-Semitic views are no surprise. Farrakhan hates Jews, whites and gays. He is big on conspiracy theory - claiming the Jews own Hollywood, the government and the media.
It only takes one powerful bigot to sway a nation.
Stop being simple.
Farrakhan's NOI has supporters in mosques housed in over 120 cities. NOI has anywhere from 20-50,000 supporters.
point is this - that while not all BLM supporters are NOI adherents, there's still overlap
If you think Farrakhan isn't a persuasive leader who feeds off those who hate whites, Jews and the LBGT community, you're living in a bubble.

And how many BLM extremists have targeted Jewish people? How many Muslim immigrants have done so?
You're being neurotic. That's fine, but it's not something to base policy on.
BLM, because I am white. Muslim countries make it clear how they feel about Jews. Don't believe me? Try it out for yourself. Those are my current threats, not Trump or his followers.
NP... but you don't live in a Muslim country. You live in the US, and the majority of antisemitism attacks are committed by whites. How can a Jewish person not know this?
I know the more we let in, the more at risk I am

Look, the BLM official manifesto is problematic when it comes to Israel because of the "genocide" language. However, it would be a mistake to assume that criticism of Israel's aggressive expansion = a bias against American Jews. It is a criticism of official Israeli government policy. I don't assume that American Jews are responsible for Israeli government policy. Do you?
+1
I'm a white Jew who supports the BLM movement. But you know who I am scared of? Some of Trump's followers and their hate language. The KKK's hatred isn't just for AAs, and neo-Nazis famously dislike Jews too.

Recognizing that people lie isn't living in La La Land, Einstein. It's a reality. People will quietly vote for Trump. And the ones to worry about are Inds who aren't voting third party.
If they are quietly voting for him then it shows that they are ashamed to do so.
I don't think ashamed is the word you want, when people are being outwardly assaulted by liberals, and having their homes and personal property vandalized. You don't antagonize a violent individual (break in and you have a whole other situation....)
Where are these "outward" assaults by liberals happening?
And "ashamed" is the word. Otherwise there would be zero reason to lie to anonymous pollsters who don't give a crap who you're voting for. You're at zero physical risk, or even of being gently mocked.
DP. No risk of being even gently mocked? Take a look at the venom that spews from the mouths of liberals, right here on this forum. If the Dems had put up instead someone halfway acceptable (rather than manipulate things because it was Hillary's turn), Trump would have been done long ago. Isn't it strange that nobody (other than a couple of ridiculous candidates) challenged Hillary for the nomination?
There's no risk of being mocked by a pollster. If you're too afraid of saying to an anonymous pollster that you're voting for Trump, yes, you are ashamed (rightfully). And take a look at the venom that spews equally from the mouths of Trump supporters. We Democrats have put up an excellent candidate - one who has been subject to a forty year smear campaign, and one a majority of primary voters elected. Nothing was manipulated. And you still have nothing she's actually done wrong.
An excellent candidate? Who's done nothing wrong? You're too far removed from reality to even have a discussion.
What has Hillary done wrong? Since there are two people running, more to the point: what has Hillary done wrong that Donald hasn't done, and worse? Emails? Who gives a flying f? It wasn't illegal, Powell did it, Condi did it, hell, Bush did everything that way and not only did he not erase everything, but there was no investigation. None. Benghazi? I'm sorry - you republicans cannot underfund security abroad and then be surprised when bad stuff happens! And how many Embassy staff died under Bush - again, nary a word, nary a glance from anyone who might have found any wrongdoing. Nothing. All you have is partisan horsepucky.
So it is you who is too far from reality to have a discussion. I know that in your right wing media bubble you feel entitled to believe an alternate set of facts, but they're not real.
