Kim K is basically a porn star. Her sister is an unwed mother of 3 or 4. Their dad is milking being semi-transgender. Her cougar mom has a boy toy. There is ghetto drama around this family. All celebs who associate with Kim K should beware that she records them secretly.
This is a really cruel and trashy post. Kim was young and at worst was manipulated by her mother into doing something she clearly regretted (with a long term romantic partner) as she sued vivid entertainment (and got a settlement) when they released the video four years after it was made. Her sister was in a long term relationship with her children't father and only broke up with him after years of trying to get him treatment for his addictions. These people are human beings, just like your precious Taylor. They put it all out there so they are of course welcoming this kind of trashy criticism, but it certainly doesn't say much about you that you seem to take pleasure in someone being sexually exploited and another woman trying to hold her relationship together for her children. And I do not watch KUWTK or any other Kardashian thing. I'm not a fan, but I don't like when people talk about celebrities like this. Maybe you should go watch the music video he made that you so clearly detest, its critiquing people like you.
Also, since clearly you all missed it in the BUCKETS of coverage, KIM DIDN'T TAPE TAYLOR. Kanye has repeatedly says he tapes the development of all of his albums for his records. She clearly had access to it, edited it and released it but she wasn't sneaking cell phone coverage behind kanye's back. Taylor just got caught fair and simple. She'd get a lot more credit if she just owned up to it and apologized and said she made a mistake instead of trying to be all high and mighty about it. I never thought in a million years I'd say TS and Kanye were even after that VMA debacle but they are even, this was really effed up. Effed up that it kind of seems like a mean girl master plan.
Just because these Kardashians don't mind a little (or a lot) of trashiness in their lives does not give them the right to try to drag an unwilling participant into their seedy behavior.
Taylor has just as much right to her own image as they do. Kim needs to leave her alone.
Yes, but when part of her image is built on being "bullied" by someone else, the accused "bully" has a right to participate in the narrative.
If Taylor ever talks to those two again then she will have no sympathy from me. But I think she will move on from this. I really do.
Taylor seems to have a lot of 'feuds.' More than anyone else. At one point does she become the common thread instead of the innocent victim of SO MANY PEOPLE?

Are you forgetting Taylor was a big deal in country music before she crossed over?
That's really not too hard, IMO. Not for a young, slim blonde girl.
Slim and blonde like Darius Rucker?
There is one black guy boy in country music. There are a whole lot of skinny white girls. False equivalency
Google Mickey Guyton. That is a female, BTW.
So one black guy, one black girl. How many ruggedly handsome white guys and skinny big haired white girls are there?
There have been several collaborations with country and rap in the last 5 years.
Are you and the salad gate posted being purposefully obtuse? This aside has nothing to do with country collaborations. It has to do with the fact that Taylor, as a (at the time) very cute innocent blonde white girl who was clearly going to grow up into a beautiful thin blonde white woman had an advantage in the country music world. PP then cites Darius Rucker, a man who was already a very famous and successful musician as being a successful black man in country music. And then pitches a black girl who (I assume) is big in country music.
Then tells me about #saladgate which I did google and apparently is how a super douchey country music guy said that country radio can't be successful because men are the lettuse in the country music salad and women the tomatoes. Which is quite revolting. I'm not sure it contradicts the idea that beautiful blondes have a legup in country music however since apparently the only two female musicians regularly cracking the top 10 in country are Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert (two blonde white women!).
So the original thing that led to this disagreement, which was a poster saying it wasn't that hard for a cute precocious blonde to make it in country music is actually accurate. Which isn't to say that there aren't a lot of buxom blondes singing in dive bars in Nashville who are never going to make a dime, but if you happen to be a super talented white skinny blonde girl, your chances are way better than anyone else's.
addendum...
you chances are way better than anyone else...who isn't a ruggedly handsome, muscly, jean wearing brunette all american boy
Woah let's go back. Someone said she wasn't that famous etc. Someone else said it wasn't that hard for her to get in. With her look. It went on an irrelevant tangent from there. Here's the truth. No matter who you are, it's hard to get into country. Every single year, hundreds and hundreds of young people head over to Nashville to make it. They ALL sing beautifully. They ALL play an instrument or three. Some stay forever, some leave, some in between. I lived in a small town where a young lady moved there after hs. The small town paper did a huge report on her, because that's exciting to them..and she was basically saying how she had been there a year. Was continuing to work had, trying to get a contract, practiced her heart out in her tiny apartment.
Anyways, whoever you are it's hard to get in. And it's hard to stay in. And be at the top. Most acts last 2 albums and they're done.
There is 0 demographic advantage, even for blonde.twigs. None. You get picked up if you have a look, sound, potential that the execs are looking for in that moment. That's your one advantage. That luck and timing coincide with your attempt.
Same as other music genres!!!
So no need to dis on her because of how she looks.

Here's the transcript:
Kanye West: (rapping) "For all my South side n----- that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex."
Taylor Swift: "I'm, like, this close to overexposure."
Kanye West: "This one is, uh – I think this is a really cool thing to have."
Taylor Swift: "I know, I mean it's like a compliment, kind of."
Kanye West: "… I give a fuck about is you as a person and as a friend."
Taylor Swift: "That's sweet."
Kanye West: "I want things that make you feel good. I don't want to do rap that makes people feel bad."
Taylor Swift: "Um, yeah. I mean go with whatever line you think is better. It's obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way."
Taylor Swift: "And I really appreciate you telling me, that's really nice."
Kanye West: "Oh – yeah. I just had a responsibility to you as a friend. I mean, thanks for being like so cool about it."
Taylor Swift: "Aw, thanks. Yeah, I really appreciate it. Like, the heads up is like, so nice. [inaudible] … even asking or seeing if I would be okay with it and I just really appreciate it. Like I would never expect you to like tell me about a line in one of your songs."
Kanye West: "It's pretty crazy."
Taylor Swift: "And then the flowers that you sent me – I like Instagrammed a picture of them and it's like the most Instagram likes I've ever gotten. It was like 2.7..."
Kanye West: "Relationships are more important than punch lines, you know?"
Taylor Swift: "Yeah, I mean – I don't think anyone would listen to that and be like oh that’s a real diss she must be crying. It's just, you've gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you experienced it. Like, you honestly didn't know who I was before that. It doesn't matter that I sold seven million of that album before you did that which is what happened – you didn't know who I was before that. It's fine."
...
Taylor Swift: "And you know, if people ask me about it I think it would be great for me to be like, 'Look, he called me and told me the line before it came out. Like, jokes on you guys, We’re fine.' You guys want to call this a feud; you want to call this throwing shade but, you know, right after the song comes out I'm going to be on a Grammy red carpet and they're going to ask me about it and I'll be like, 'He called me.' … It's awesome that you're so outspoken about this and be like, 'Yeah, she does. It made her famous.' It's more provocative to say 'might still have sex' because…"
....
So she signed off on, and even provided him with better wording for how to include her in his song. She said he can do whatever he wants, said it is a compliment and told him she will go on the red carpet and say she approved it.
And then she goes and back stabs him.
I am SO proud of Kim K for exposing this wolf in sheep's clothes.
It was a very shitty thing to do on her part. And instead of apologizing she has the audacity to play the victim AGAIN.
Ha. Read it again and this time read between the lines. She is first taken aback "I'm like this close to overexposure"...then it's clear that she just wants to keep things friendly rather than argue with him. Not worth it.
He seems friendly enough, he sent her flowers earlier and she is just wanting to leave well enough alone. And it's a good thing too because if she had argued with him about any of it Kim would have had her on tape, right? Kanye being a sweetie and Taylor being a dramatic b*tch.
This was a lose/lose for Taylor. There was no way for that conversation to play out in her favor. And it just proves what a set up this was by Kanye and Kim. Awful. And completely obvious what they were doing. Jerks.

"I'm this close to overexposure"
She is very self aware about her fame which belies her public "OMG!ME? I WON AGAIN? WHAAAAA" wide- eyed spectacle.
She was enthusiastic and flattered that he called her to ask and run his lyrics by her. That was an extremely generous and magnanimous thing to do on his part and he did it only because of her history of being a drama queen. He tried to be super nice she said thank you and I will back you up. AND BACK STABBED HIM.
Indeed. She was trying to be nice with a known parasite, and discovered (again!) that's not a good idea.
Sometimes, sadly, you can't be nice.
