In the most recent appropriations fight most members offices said there was no support for it in their districts and to be happy with flat funding (pushed for by Obama with Borhner going along).
There are no Republican sponsors now. The city has huge fights brewing with the Trump admin over immigration, guns and abortion funding.
I spoke to a staffer at Heritage who said that this is on their list of programs to zero out - but he wouldn't give me a copy of the document. It is the same document that was reported on this week but DC TAG wasn't mentioned in those media reports.
Perhaps Ivanka or Jared can be persuaded to save it.

I don't doubt your assertion, but could you provide a source for this? I did not see it in the Heritage Foundation 2017 Budget Blueprint, which I think is what is being used as Trump's draft budget. I see some changes to the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program for vouchers, which doesn't surprise me. If it really has been zeroed out someplace in writing, we need to know so we can start our advocacy push on it. Thanks.
So it was a Republican idea that all the D.C. liberal families cashed in on? Sometimes D.C. is so funny. Better get on the phone and start calling those Republicans and tell them you don't hate all of their ideas...
