He comes from a great family where both parents are extremely involved as both parents and in the community. In no way do I excuse any of it, but the girls put these pictures out knowingly and willingly. For anyone to say that it is just the act of these one or two boys is simply not true. It was the act of many, on both sides. Q
And, immediate pp, here is the one attempting to deflect from the criminal actions of this "wonderful kid." And insisting whatever errors in judgment made here were equivalent.

Other posts place the blame on the kids who possibly took their own pictures and imply that it is their fault that the other kids created a website.

We all agree that possession of child porn is wrong, illegal and should be prosecuted.
So we all agree that child porn on a girls phone is wrong, illegal and should be prosecuted.

Saying that girls who took naked pics of themselves and sent them to others are culpable DOES NOT mean that the boys who collected the pics and posted them are blameless.
Saying (with a wink, I might add) that you are glad your kid goes to a school like Wakefield DOES NOT mean that you think nothing bad ever happens at Wakefield.
However, jumping on that Wakefield statement, in a thread about a teen porn website involving McLean students, and posting stats about high school graduation rates at Wakefield DOES mean that you are (a) lacking a sense of humor and (b) an idiot.
I'm glad we cleared that up. From now on, I'll know that the high dropout rate, teen pregnancies and low test scores at Wakefield are your run-of-the-mill sitcom material.
Please take your concerns about the high dropout rate, teen pregnancies, and low test scores at Wakefield to another thread. I know you are a caring person who is looking for ideas on how to get involved and help solve some of these issues, so i would hate for the discussion to get short shrift here, in a thread about teenagers from McLean high school creating, distributing, and viewing under-age porn.
Clearly, this thread has blossomed into a broader discussion about kids today, parenting, and the appropriate use of the Internet and technology. It would seem unfair to limit it only to the antics of the McLean students when there have been more egregious allegations involving students from other schools, including West Springfield and Marshall.
