We always remove our shoes at the front door however I would NEVeR ask a guest to remove their shoes and have to walk barefoot around my house. I can always swiffer / wash the floors.. A small step so someone doesnt feel uncomfortable in my home.

Does anyone else have the urge to reference "the commenter on 11/31/12" just to send people scrambling around past pages trying to find it? It's not as though the recent posters read the earlier thread.

We bought something off Craigslist and when I walked in, noticed they had shoes off so I politely asked if she would like me to take my shoes off. She said yes, I took them off. What I didn't get is her dirty carpets. It made no sense to me what-so-ever!

And don't poop in the bathroom on the mail floor of the house or at the office. Hold it until you get home.
