The other name I can't get out of my head as an option is Neil/Neal. I don't think my husband was OK with this OR Chad, so it is unlikely that my kids will ever have these names.

He's a wife beater. I don't know about his sexual preference but it doesn't matter since I've never met him. I said I've never met a Chad that wasn't gay.

I honestly don't know anything about that guy other than he was on DWTS and made up his last name based on his jersey number or some such nonsense.

I didn't like the name based on him. I just like it. It's very 80's, and I find that the 80's names are not en vogue right now, which makes them more attractive to me.

I also like the name Vaughn. A Lot. But with our fairly German last name, it sounds strange.

Dammit, naming a kid is hard. And you're not going to please everybody.

I'm sorry, PP, your opposition to this name requires me to double-down and use it now, boy or girl.

haha - me, too. I'm a brat like that. You and I should be friends, future-Sherman's parent!

Norman. I know old people names are back in vogue, but this one should stay in the vault.

funny - this is on my list if we have another child. We're missing the "p" in the acronym though, since we're agnostics. And the "as" is only a small portion of our actual heritage.

I have never met a Chad that wasn't gay. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

This was the top of my list for DC#1, though we went with something else, and I'm pondering it again for DC#2.
