That's a tough question. If I were just thinking of myself, honestly, I absolutely would...even with all the hurt and sadness at the end. I didn't want to leave my DH for OM, even if I thought I did for a few days, but I was mostly hurt because of how quickly I was tossed aside. I mean, OM felt bad that I was upset, but I don't think he was that terribly sad that it ended. He got over that part pretty quickly. I was pretty sad...I guess nobody wants to think they're discard-able.

However, if I take the OM into consideration, I would probably have to say no, because he had to deal with so much fallout. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

My DH doesn't know, so I had to deal with much less.


It sounds as if the wife of this posters OM found out about the affair, yet the posters DH did not. Did I read between the lines on that one?

That completely changes the situation in a lot of ways. Very tough to figure out what to do, or to do it again.

It would be hurtful.

In my mind, letting me find out about it would mean that I meant so little to you that you could not be bothered to cover up your own indiscretions. If you don't care enough about me to at least HIDE it from me, then we are done sir done.

But I also know that not everyone knows that. So in the very serious relationships I have had, I just flat out told them this.

If you have an affair with a married guy, you can't expect any strings attached. It would just be sex and nothing else.


To add, if I had an affair, I wouldn't be looking to replace my husband. Even if I ended up divorcing him, I wouldn't be looking to tie the knot with someone else. I would relish the freedom to see who I wanted when I wanted at that point. The affair would just be for fun, not any long term commitment.

well, it wasn't something I was looking for or thinking about, but once it started happening I relished every minute of it.


One of those "I wasn't looking for or even wanting an affair, but he just had something about him." type of things
