Still not sure how that will be the case for AAP placement without good supporting scores/GBRS/WISC. The other pp mentioned the SB score won't look good at all, but I don't have any comment on that.
Not questioning your decision, but since you are asking input. Maybe moving to a base school you like will be a better option?
I agree. Move to a school that fits better for your DD. Then you are more certain to get what you want.

Do you have anything to submit other than the SB score? SB scores are usually higher than WISC scores, so that isn't going to look good at all. And yes, a GBRS of 9 is going to be hard to overcome.

Very superior on Verbal and Perceptual. High Average on WM, Low average (16%) on processing speed. FSIQ 120 because of processing speed. Will not appeal with WISC, but other new material. Will take cogat in the fall and then reapply next year.

We were given a GAI (General Ability Index) and a FISQ, with the report presenting (and focusing on) the GAI as the most indicative index of DC's abilities. DC had Very Superior in Verbal (the subscores were 2 our of three "very superior"), Very Superior in Perceptual (again, 2 out of 3 subscores "very superior"), Average in Working Memory, but Low Average in Processing Speed.
We are appealing with this WISC, as DC's VCI and PRI are in the 99%, with subscores going as high as 99.6%. The working memory is fine (subscores range from 91% to 68%, with an average of 75%), but the processing speed scores are low. The test took 3.5 hours, there were no inattention issues (that could indicate ADD or something similar), so the psychologist told us that it was probably due to the child not knowing that that this part (easy pen-and-paper tasks) was timed. The suggestion was that with a GAI this strong we should appeal, which is what we are doing. I don't know whether we will be successful, but I do not think that these scores indicate anything other than a bright kid that likes challenges.
I was always told that the WISC takes about 1.5 hours.. so found it interesting to hear that yours took 3.5 hours. Was it just the WISC?

I had read on these boards that Carol Horn does not like GAI to be used, so perhaps that is why some psychologists do not use it. I think the explanation was that GAI seems like an attempt to manipulate the numbers, and that the screening committee is experienced enough with reviewing WISC scores that they can interpret the VCI and PRI on their own. That said, we did submit a GAI for our DC, and DC was found eligible. So it is probably not a deal breaker either way.
