Always pleased to hear about kids getting accepted by schools that excite them. Finding joy in this stressful process.

Congratulations to all!

Great arts program! Congrats!

I’ll double-down on sending congrats to VCU’s outstanding arts program. C’mon down (up or over) to RVA!

Go Rams!

Thank you, thank you! We loved Richmond, and you’re right, the art school is top notch.

DC would prefer Oregon. But waiting to hear from usual local suspects ( VT, UMD) and Purdue.

Wow! EE? Two great options and here’s sending some luck for an Oregon admit too.

Yay! Care to share if it’s in the running for your DC’s choice?

Thanks!

It is easy to be kind and genuinely excited for these kids and their families as they embark on the next part of their educational journey. I know it’s just an anonymous board and random internet strangers giving a big 👍but sometimes it feels good to get a little bit of validation that you’ve done something good and right (as a student and parent) and that something’s worth celebrating in your life.

~ signed, a thread cheerleader (glad there are others and hope for more!)

Fun fact - The clabber girl baking powder factory is in terre haute. They have a little breakfast cafe which has the best biscuits and gravy on the planet.

I can't remember we exactly when applications were submitted but we did put a little pressure on getting everything done ASAP so our kid could focus on the IB extended essay shit due early in the school year.

Terre Haute. Hope kid enjoys

My kid has spent time on the campus which is way more important than boring old Terra Haute. But hey maybe people like Terra Haute because they like basketball. Rose is a great school, supportive environment, decent merit aid, engaged professors, overall such a supportive environment. Terra Haute is Terra Haute. And there's still some schools pending so who knows where my kid will end up. But if it's at Rose we'll be happy and maybe I'll get a meal at the Terminal lol.

First of all it's Terre, not Terra. It's fine to go to college there for four years. ISU is there which is a large school. Would I want to live there? Absolutely not (as me how i know!). But that's not the same as going to college there.
