Since I have no connection to the school I can say without emotion that that’s what adults do. They learn to adapt to the new leadership or they go find a new job. Do you think your school is the first place that ever hired a new leader where there were some people that didn’t like that leader? It happens every day. Nobody is going to be liked by everybody. And yes, some leaders are not warm and fuzzy. Some leaders are difficult to work for. Employees will often leave a job because they don’t like the new leader.
But it’s your hubris that you think you can save the institution on an anonymous chat board from the person who has been put in charge by the board of trustees , that I find to be childish and destructive behavior. I’ll conclude by saying best of luck to you and I hope you find peace. I probably won’t be responding to this thread anymore.

Because you are one of those employees that has been terribly aggrieved? I have no connection to your school and I also know that This is a hard thing to hear, but when a new leader comes in if you don’t like their style, you can leave. I have worked for people that I didn’t like. I learned to adapt to them or I left.
But instead, you come here to grind the ax and try to gin up all sorts of resentment, because you think that the head should leave. And the anonymity you enjoy here is empowering. This is a very obvious pattern that we’ve seen countless times when a new head arrives in this city. I for one find it to be the worst behavior.

No, I'm just responding as someone who actually knows what it's been like at the school for the last two years. I can't give you proof, but I'm not making stuff up either. I get that you don't believe me, but recognize the possibility that the HoS has been an abusive and dishonest leader for two years toward many of her employees.

Pretty normal with the change of leadership. There’s always a few disgruntled teachers or parents that think they should come here and raise hell. if you’re so upset with the leadership, you should go right into that head's office and have that conversation with them without the anonymity.

+1 and so exhausting to read. Every time a new head of school starts in DC there’s a few anonymous disgruntled teachers or parents that don’t like the change and think that they can come here and raise hell that will restore the school to the glory that they recall for themselves. And eventually they quit or get fired or their kids graduate and the community is better for it.

20 parents is a small sample size in a school of 700. As a current parent, I don’t recall an open invitation to this. Were these the focus groups that were hand-selected?
