I acknowledge that trans kids in sports is a complex issue. I am not going to say they should always be allowed, point blank. I don’t know anyone who wants that. But I do think there are cases where they should be allowed to compete and cases where they shouldn’t. I think it should be handled locally, case-by-case, because the community is obviously more knowledgeable on that particular case than feds. I would want medical records to be taken into account. Maybe that athlete’s previous rankings in boy’s sports. I don’t know. I won’t claim to have all the answers. Second, all sorts of very common insurance plans are exempt from the WHCRA, including some government plans, religious orgs' plans, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Third, the WHCRA does NOT require health plans or health insurance issuers to cover mastectomies at all. That's right. If an insurance plan opts not to cover mastectomies, it is NOT required to cover anything mastectomy-related such as reconstruction for women.

Fourth, even if a health plan/insurance issuer opts to cover mastectomy, there are still exceptions under which it can decline coverage of reconstruction.

Fifth, even if a health plan/insurance issuer covers both mastectomies and reconstruction, the fine print is key. Even women who "have coverage" are regularly left with out-of-pocket costs that are so high that they cannot afford reconstruction. Insurance companies can and do pull stunts like technically "covering" reconstruction, but then defining this narrowly to carve out all sorts of physical complications that women who aren't upper middle class with family help can't afford to pay for out of pocket. Again, this effectively denies coverage to women with such insurance plans.

Nobody is trying to “push men into women’s spaces.” Democrats simply think most of these issues are not federal cases!

Democrats think it is none of our business what pronouns people use. Why do you care so much? You don’t have to like it, but that doesn’t mean you need to run to the feds. Maybe you work with someone who uses they/them and you don’t want to comply. Ok, fine. It is actually pretty easy to avoid third person pronouns all together. I have relatives you don’t want to use they/them for a non-binary relative. They just avoid it by using their name all the time. So maybe try that simple solution rather than pushing for legislation?

There’s been very few cases of trans women competing in HS sports. Why shouldn’t this be handled locally on a case-by-case basis? There are many factors that should be considered, such as hormone levels. It simply isn’t a an issue that is prevalent enough to need federal attention. It especially shouldn’t be a major factor in determining who you vote for.

I keep hearing republicans talk about all these little girls being raped by trans women in public restrooms. Personally, I have never heard of this happening. Maybe we can get some numbers to compare sexual assaults in bathrooms carried out by cis men vs trans women? Why do we not care about little boys being assaulted in men’s restrooms?

Republicans need to learn to deal with things without running to their orange god to make all their problems go away. Please. Go back to being the party of small government. Stop running to Daddy Warbucks every time you encounter someone different from you.

Your old talking points didn't work and these new ones about "local" handling of your regressive agenda won't work either. No, we're not going to leave your agenda to the local level that you can more easily co-opt now that you have lost the nation as a whole after years of misusing federal mechanisms for trans overreach. Right is right and wrong is wrong and men in women's spaces and sports is wrong. It needs to end locally, federally, everywhere. We're not negotiating a middle ground with you any more than we're negotiating with the local pedophile a number between the 0 we prefer and the 100 he prefers for a middle ground on how many children he gets to molest. He gets 0, you get a firm no on picking taxpayers' pockets to pay for men's breast implants and everything else you claim is a trans right, and you can both deal.

Also, you know that the 79% of Americans who openly reject your agenda admit despite your emotional blackmail are on both sides of the aisle. This isn't a Republican issue any more than the trans agenda is a human rights issue. This is about reality and beating back your cabal of highly organized grifters who have taken America for a ride for way too long.

It's not discussed often enough that on some core issues (foreign and domestic), Trump is actually moving the Republican Party to the left.
