There’s been very few cases of trans women competing in HS sports. Why shouldn’t this be handled locally on a case-by-case basis? There are many factors that should be considered, such as hormone levels. It simply isn’t a an issue that is prevalent enough to need federal attention. Your old talking points didn't work and these new ones about "local" handling of your regressive agenda won't work either. No, we're not going to leave your agenda to the local level that you can more easily co-opt now that you have lost the nation as a whole after years of misusing federal mechanisms for trans overreach. Right is right and wrong is wrong and men in women's spaces and sports is wrong. It needs to end locally, federally, everywhere. We're not negotiating a middle ground with you any more than we're negotiating with the local pedophile a number between the 0 we prefer and the 100 he prefers for a middle ground on how many children he gets to molest. He gets 0, you get a firm no on picking taxpayers' pockets to pay for men's breast implants and everything else you claim is a trans right, and you can both deal.
Also, you know that the 79% of Americans who openly reject your agenda admit despite your emotional blackmail are on both sides of the aisle. This isn't a Republican issue any more than the trans agenda is a human rights issue. This is about reality and beating back your cabal of highly organized grifters who have taken America for a ride for way too long.
Wow you sure are passionate about where kids stand on the medal podium. Are you this passionate about kids not getting shot at school? Do you call for gun control as loudly as you call for your daughter’s place at the podium? If you find yourself being more outraged by a trans athletes than school shooters, you might want to do some self-reflecting. I am not trying to change the subject here. It has just been glaringly noticeable to me. You guys shrug off a classroom of dead kids as unavoidable collateral damage to protect your right to own any and all guns. But a trans kid in a podium? THAT’S a bridge too far for you?
I acknowledge that trans kids in sports is a complex issue. I am not going to say they should always be allowed, point blank. I don’t know anyone who wants that. But I do think there are cases where they should be allowed to compete and cases where they shouldn’t. I think it should be handled locally, case-by-case, because the community is obviously more knowledgeable on that particular case than feds. I would want medical records to be taken into account. Maybe that athlete’s previous rankings in boy’s sports. I don’t know. I won’t claim to have all the answers. But in the rare instance that this comes up, I know that a bunch of old dudes in DC certainly aren’t experts either.

It's not discussed often enough that on some core issues (foreign and domestic), Trump is actually moving the Republican Party to the left.
You need to do more research on drug prices during each administration.
Do you remember the backlash when Michelle Obama fought for kids to eat healthier at school? You people threw an absolute fit and thought it was a complete overreach. You insisted that our tax dollars continued paying for junk food in schools because that’s all your kids would eat. But now you are suddenly health nuts? I’m a teacher, and I watched our lunchroom go from serving slop every day to offering a beautiful garden bar where kids had several fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from. And yes, they ate them. Kids generally love fresh fruit. And they will eat most fresh veggies if they can dip them in a little bit of ranch. I know ranch isn’t healthy, but it is way better than canned/processed crap, and they were only given a very small amount. It was honestly so weird to witness that every day - kids at school chowing down on fresh fruits and veggies while republicans were crying about it like it was the end of the world.
Listen, I hate the way this country eats. I hate that our food is full of dyes, sugar, and chemicals. RFK is a complete nutjob, but if he manages to make our food healthier, that would certainly be a silver lining.

Well said. I am a Democrat btw and voted for Harris, I am sick and tired that trans issue has hijacked the Democratic Party, if democrats are only going to represent 0.5% of the population then I will switch to independent.

The 2026 and 2028 elections will not be about trans, though we appreciate that Republicans will do everything in the power to make it so. So in any event, you typed a lot of irrelevant words...
If you don’t think voters are paying attention to the awards podiums in states like California, Washington and Maine, where girl athletes are walking away rather than stand next to trans winners claiming the trophies, you are going to be as surprised in 2026 and 2028 as you were when Trump was reelected.

It's not discussed often enough that on some core issues (foreign and domestic), Trump is actually moving the Republican Party to the left.
It's even sadder that men who want their own pair of breasts to fondle get full coverage for their breast implants, but female breast cancer victims can't get even partial coverage for reconstructive surgery. A woman's abusive husband can get full insurance coverage for "facial feminization" surgeries which amount to endless cosmetic procedures, but the woman whose face he beat in will have to come out of pocket to have her nose reconstructed. The greed and freeloading of the trans movement, the sex-based double standards while insisting sex doesn't exist, and the resulting burden on the rest of us to make do with less coverage and bear higher insurance costs is the aspect that turned me against that particular cause.
By law, reconstruction surgery after breast cancer must be covered. I've had several hundreds of thousands of dollars in reconstruction covered.
No, honey. Just no. Allow me to educate you on how America works for women who aren't white with generous insurance plans like you.
First, the only federal law that potentially mandates coverage for breast cancer victims is the WHCRA. Only if the WHCRA applies might an insurance company even potentially be required to cover mastectomy and reconstruction under federal law. Otherwise, you're sh-t outta luck if you don't live in one of only a few states with expansive breast cancer coverage requirements.
Second, all sorts of very common insurance plans are exempt from the WHCRA, including some government plans, religious orgs' plans, Medicaid, and Medicare.
Third, the WHCRA does NOT require health plans or health insurance issuers to cover mastectomies at all. That's right. If an insurance plan opts not to cover mastectomies, it is NOT required to cover anything mastectomy-related such as reconstruction for women.
Fourth, even if a health plan/insurance issuer opts to cover mastectomy, there are still exceptions under which it can decline coverage of reconstruction.
Fifth, even if a health plan/insurance issuer covers both mastectomies and reconstruction, the fine print is key. Even women who "have coverage" are regularly left with out-of-pocket costs that are so high that they cannot afford reconstruction. Insurance companies can and do pull stunts like technically "covering" reconstruction, but then defining this narrowly to carve out all sorts of physical complications that women who aren't upper middle class with family help can't afford to pay for out of pocket. Again, this effectively denies coverage to women with such insurance plans.
In comparison, men who claim to be trans enjoy absurd levels of drama-free full coverage for frivolities because they'll die from hearing the word no. I personally used to handle pro bono matters from a number of LGBTQ nonprofits before I decided these grifters don't need my services to be free with all the other free stuff they get. A typical matter would feature a "trans woman" on Medicaid because the same transgender identity that they claim is not a mental illness nonetheless entitles them to disability and Medicaid. I got really good at spotting the expensive work. There's nothing like having a man sitting in front of you with several hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cosmetic procedures from browbone shaving to lip filler to jaw surgery to lipo to BBLs to breast implants to cheekbone implants to laser hair removal to skin bleaching to even human hair wigs that cost $1,500 each and his next surgeries are already on the calendar. Meanwhile, he hasn't worked in years and he is being referred to me because a shelter "discriminated" against him by asking him to consider leaving in 90 days after he physically assaulted staff repeatedly and walked around with his penis out.
Rapacious trans lobbyists and Democrats have put such ludicrous, excessive federal and state packages of "gender affirming" benefits for men who claim to be trans and taxpayers don't even know the half of it.
This is apparently what the Democrats are going to stand for in 2026 and 2028. Horrifying.
Yup, I hate Trump, but I definitely didn't vote for Harris. Both parties are captured by shadowy groups of very creepy, wealthy white men with disturbing social agendas. Republicans, however, won't make me refer to their white male overlords as women. This is what we're reduced to in this country. Dark times.
Republicans will, however, keep you on life support against your and your family's will, just to birth your baby. Dark times indeed.
https://www.npr.org/2025/05/21/nx-s1-5405542/a-brain-dead-womans-pregnancy-raises-questions-about-georgias-abortion-law
"Adriana Smith, a 30 year-old nurse and mother, was about nine weeks pregnant in February when doctors declared her brain dead after she suffered a medical emergency.
But Smith's mother, April Newkirk, told Atlanta TV station WXIA that doctors at Emory University Hospital have been keeping her organs functioning since then until the fetus can be delivered, citing Georgia's law banning most abortions after fetal cardiac activity can be detected, or roughly six weeks into pregnancy.
Smith is now roughly 22 weeks into the pregnancy and has been on life support for more than 90 days.
"My grandson may be blind, may not be able to walk, we don't know if he'll live once she has him," Newkirk told WXIA last week. "And I'm not saying we would have chose to terminate her pregnancy. What I'm saying is we should have had a choice."
Republicans took that choice away.
That’s horrifying too.
I am not sure I can vote for either party at this point.
If you are still on the fence, just be maga. I don’t think that the Democrats need you, you are just going to f@ck it up.

There’s been very few cases of trans women competing in HS sports. Why shouldn’t this be handled locally on a case-by-case basis? There are many factors that should be considered, such as hormone levels. It simply isn’t a an issue that is prevalent enough to need federal attention. It especially shouldn’t be a major factor in determining who you vote for.
I keep hearing republicans talk about all these little girls being raped by trans women in public restrooms. Personally, I have never heard of this happening. Maybe we can get some numbers to compare sexual assaults in bathrooms carried out by cis men vs trans women? Why do we not care about little boys being assaulted in men’s restrooms?
Republicans need to learn to deal with things without running to their orange god to make all their problems go away. Please. Go back to being the party of small government. Stop running to Daddy Warbucks every time you encounter someone different from you.

You think it is the center of the democratic platform because Trump told you so. Nobody is trying to “push men into women’s spaces.” Democrats simply think most of these issues are not federal cases!
Democrats think it is none of our business what pronouns people use. Why do you care so much? You don’t have to like it, but that doesn’t mean you need to run to the feds. It's not discussed often enough that on some core issues (foreign and domestic), Trump is actually moving the Republican Party to the left.
