Kids played on the top GFR teams for years and coaches did not encourage dirty play. Made it difficult during games that were coached to play that way, as they got pushed around with limited fouls called. Even resulted in broken bones in a few games. Any team can have a kid that is encouraged to play that way by parents.

Probably doesn’t belong on this thread, but the absolute worst I’ve seen was a girl in Loudoun. Don’t want to say which specific team (since she is a child) but I’ve seen some of the dirtiest moves by her and the parents and coaches from that club defending her actions and even seemingly encouraging her to play dirty. Saw that same girl doing that against our club and other clubs and the parents and coaches supportive of her actions.

I’d have to say GFR parents were similar to parents of any other club.

I have not seen Union 08 play. Maybe they play kickball too?

They won 2 games this year though so nothing to brag about there!

Their coaching slate is better than most clubs. Have you seen the latest coaching slate from McLean? It is an s--t show! Coaches that have no business being top team coaches are now leading this GA toilet nightmare.

LOL probably smart move to stay neutral for a year while the leagues battle it out. Besides with NIL and transfer portals, college recruitment is dying before our eyes.
