I sincerely doubt that everyone is leaving. Even half leaving I wouldn't believe. But some will, for sure.

Prep people,

To those who have kids in B1, G2 and S2, you deserve better. To those who think the decision to get rid of Phil and Jeremy isn’t that big a deal, Jeremy has made kids faster, and Phil has certainly fixed many kids strokes

You reclass your kid, then get bounced. NCAP shows no mercy.

Would not go so far as to say that they treat any of the kids as garbage, but this is certainly not “in the best interest of NCAP athlete development” as was stated in the email to GP families. Quite the opposite. Phil and Jeremy care deeply about the swimmers that they have been coaching, some of them for several years. Dan S doesn’t even know they exist.
Sorry but Jeremy is a terrible coach and should never be allowed to coach children. GP gets best behavior Jeremy because he’s been on notice. I don’t blame you for being fooled but getting rid of Jeremy is an extremely smart move for NCAP.
Maybe you had a bad experience with Jeremy at TY. Since arriving at GP, brought in to save the GP site from another issue, he has connected well with a group of 9-12 year olds in the B1, some of which were in their first year of club since it is still an entry point. No coach is always going to be all sunshine and rainbows, but he calmly and clearly communicates what’s expected in practices, and the sets challenge the kids in a safe manner geared toward them getting improvements and being happy swimmers who take pride in the details. He gave them all positive, constructive and sometimes very detailed feedback after events, even if they gained or (very rarely) DQ. He is usually very chill and although the kids might say that Phil is more fun, he did make things fun for them this year.
He was demoted and sent to GP for a reason. Just let that sink in. I’m glad that was the experience GP got because your kids deserve that treatment. But you can’t ignore that vast issues that eventually led to his removal. I can’t speak to Phil - that stinks. But NCAP is making a smart move removing Jeremy. Your kids are young, they will be completely fine getting a new coach. I don’t need to convince you and there is no need - he's gone. I just hope you get a new coach that is good deep down and not because they got in so much trouble they were forced to be good.

What site does your kid swim at?

She only sent it because Phil told the kids in Friday morning practice that he won’t be their coach next year and she HAD to say something.. She’d have probably done the same that was done to Cliff if Phil didn’t break the news..

If anything BG always being clouded in controversy over backstabbing and being a jerk has adequately hidden the once indelible stain of CUBU.

Both the now NCAP corporate office, and many of the 30-40 year site lead coaches harbored a pedophile and got off pretty easy. That’s the foundation for this club and people should not forget it.

Hopefully the whole site implodes from the top down, and joins Phil in his new ventures. They deserve it.

D1 coach coming to club to lead G2 and S2 doesn't pass the smell test either. But here we are. That's how stupid and arrogant Spencer is.

It is a bunch of angry, passive aggressive, insecure, parents who didn’t get the results they wanted thinking that the promise land was an automatic outcome being a member of GP. Stop acting like children and be an adult and move on if you hate him, the club, and everything else associated with it. Please, the excuse of my DC will miss their friends is a cop-out, you PP will be to scared to miss out if they suddenly “take off” for a podium that they will only see from at TV and never be standing on, that only BG can get them.

This is written so poorly I’m not even sure what it means but I think this person is defending Bruce, despite the following:

- when he coached his child, he acted unethically by tailoring all practices to her, resulting in multiple injuries and close to ten kids leaving in a single season for other teams
- promised Cliff the moon then drove him away
- fired one of the most beloved coaches, Phil, who appears to be moving to ASA with his kids who are both amazing swimmers (sucks for you NCap!)

But sure PP, defend away, you are one of those very typical delusional GP boosters hoping your child will one day become KL. Good luck!

I don't know where you are getting your information. I am 99% sure BG had nothing to do with Phil getting fired or Dan getting hired. He was surprised as anyone. This is on Spencer who thinks she's the queen but clearly has poor judgement and terrible PR skills.

Someone should email this thread to Dan. Maybe he will ask for his job back
