Not all players are the same and not all will go top D1.

Perhaps if BLC were to add a high school division they could give cap a run for their money as they consistently have good teams.
If BLC continued into HS then that would be the death of Capital. BLC is the only club that as been able to retain talent and contend with MD teams below the HS level. Where would the talent come from that feeds into Capital.
Ask Pride 23 and 24 parents if they had to do it all over again what would they have done. Some of the best talent stayed with Pride and the recruiting results were disappointing to say the least. Capital 23s and 24s, on the other hand, landed at some of the best programs. Capital will find their talent, develop and turn them into recruiting successes.
Was Pride the problem? Or maybe it was because the Capital players were better than the Pride players.

I think the bottom line that everyone is talking about is finding a place that will help develop players that will set them up for success as they get older. No club is going to check all of those boxes. So much of that has to be done on your own or you find a place or someone who can do that. Which is a challenge in this area.

Many of you are very naive to believe playing D1 athletics is a given based on your club name. Your child must be a good lacrosse player or have intangibles which predicts some lacrosse success in the future. Those girls on these teams you speak of are GREAT lacrosse players.

I think M&D DC parents can look at M&D Shore, identical sitation, take an avg club, rebrand it with M&D. End of day, yes, M&D can help get you into better tournaments and kids can say "M&D" on their tryout resumes but its not going to increase odds for recruiting to top colleges.

I think Capital helps the girls get recruited, they just don’t develop players. Girls are left to figure out the best way to become good lacrosse players. I thought that was the goal of the travel program? To teach girls lacrosse and make them better?
