One week in I am down 6 lbs. Made it through all the cravings and withdrawals and started feeling pretty good yesterday. I am sleeping great.
Taking it easy on my workouts for now. Slow walks with a weighted vest and a little strength training. The plan is to start running 3-5 miles after the first 30 days and go back to lifting heavy in my workouts
Post# 3
Weighed in this morning. Down 7 pounds after 9 days. Feeling good. I thought I would get bored of meat but that hasn't happened so far. I have gone from 3 meals a day to 2. Not intentionally, just have no desire to eat 3 times per day.
Long term plan is to add back some berries and nuts but I'm sticking to just meat until I get to my goal weight
Forget those longterm plans. Eat the berries if you really want, but you will find that carnivore doesn't do well with nuts. Any kind of fiber addition will upset your stomach if you have been carnivore a while, and it just isn't worth the inflammation nuts cause.
Yeah, by all means ignore all of the medical advice and listen to this rando on the internet.
Yes, the rando who has been carnivore for 6 years, reversed diabetes, lost 90 pounds, and is on the diet with medical approval from cardiologist.
Please don't respond to the previous poster. She is here for the sole purpose of trolling
he, not she, and speaking totally truthfully. Not everybody needs to be carnivore, but there are quacks that see it as beneficial.
fixed that for you
Head of cardiology at one of the largest hospitals in the region isn’t a quack
There is zero chance what you’re saying is true. None!
100% true. You just have no clue
Then post the name of the doctor.
Different poster. I'm not in DC. I live in the Raleigh, NC area and my doctor is Dr. Eric Westman at Duke Health.
Educated at Stanford and Duke.
He has been advocating a keto/carnivore diet for 30 years

Can you imagine what that did to his arteries? No responsible doctor would recommend this nonsense.
Plenty of doctors are now recommending keto and carnivore. No doctor or any person has ever recommended 9 pounds of butter and cheese. This was a fake story that was planted to try to slow down the rapid growth of high meat diets
Total BS. No they are most certainly not. You found one hack on YouTube and you think you're so smart.
Actually there are a lot of YouTube hacks. Not just one. None of them are fat and angry like you

The problem was the dairy here. not carnivore
The problem here is an increased level of dietary saturated fat and cholesterol.
First of all, that's not even real. You have to be an idiot to believe that story. Second, even if it was real, that guy was eating 9 pounds of butter and cheese every day. That has nothing to do with carnivore.
They claim he was eating 10,000 calories per day but losing weight. Lol! That story was completely made up and labeled as 'carnivore' to try to scare people away from a diet that is getting people healthy. The food and pharmaceutical companies do not want you healthy. It's not a sustainable business model for them

Have you tried stopping your medications and not give in to your depression or anxiety? Try just taking a walk or a hot bath
You are insanely dangerous, ignorant and uneducated. There is zero scientific proof that eating a carnivore diet will improve symptoms of depression and anxiety. Stop mocking people who are ACTUALLY following their doctor's advice based on science and research.
There isn't deep proof yet. There are studies ongoing, and there are studies on ketogenic diets, which is a superset of Carnivore:

OK so no proof yet. Got it.
Similarly, there isn’t proof that any diet has such a benefit at this time.
