Is he still at Great Falls? I don't know that he's ever been to Great Falls (unless he lives there). As far as I can tell, he just collects a paycheck from them. As the GFR TD, I have yet to see an e-mail from him or hear anything from the coaches about him.
Are you on the GFR coaching staff?
No. But at the rate that the club is firing coaches, I might be coaching a game or two, soon!
😂 but also 🤦♂️

Whatever happened, it must have been pretty bad for the club to fire a coach (and I thought he was more than that?) during the middle of the year.
He was! We really liked him. No idea why he was let go or quit mid-season :/
Anonymous wrote:Another GFR parent here. Same sentiments in our household. Letting RP go was handled very poorly and zero communication about coaching, its all over the place. I feel bad for the seniors that pretty much lost their spring season as as PP mentioned some will never play soccer (officially) again. There were plans for some games but now its all over the place to find coaches to take the 05/06 team. Its crap that the club isn't getting in front of this mess.

In an official capacity?
, couldn’t even fathom with all the turmoil caused.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Must be on one of the teams that lost their fav coach. Get over it. It happens.
First, if you know which teams RP was coaching, then you know that the 05/06 team is mostly about to graduate. Some are going on to play in college or pursuing semi-pro opportunities abroad and others will be hanging up their cleats for good. Either way, this spring should have been a time for them and their club to celebrate the culmination of many years of playing soccer. Something all U18/19 players do. RP also coached the 07 team which is in the middle of recruiting right now. Having the coach of those age groups replaced mid-season has a big impact on those players (regardless of how you feel about the coach) but especially when it was obviously done spur-of-the-moment without a plan in place to minimize the disruption to the teams/players affected by this action.
Second, telling people to “get over it” is a pretty sh!tty thing to say. Akin to your DC tearing an ACL and someone saying “It happens. Get over it!”. No need for you to be a jackass to people just because you can’t relate to how this impacts them.
+1. The way this was handled was really a travesty for the girls who were affected by it. And current GFR leadership either doesn’t care or refuses to acknowledge the concerns and address them.
