I like how things have deteriorated to the point where we're just supposed to act like numerous cars getting their windows smashed around Tenleytown is a given.
If you rode a bike instead this wouldn’t happen.

These out of boundary students at ex-Wilson create a real problem in the Tenkeytown community. Can’t they be sent back to their assigned school if they continue to shoplift, use or sell drugs, and commit mayhem?
Oh, what, kids from Ward 3 don’t smoke pot?

Are you serious ?
Minor rise in minor crime, but nothing like your post suggests. I know that the AU area CVS has issues and some car break-ins, but still very safe 24 hours a day.
Have you lived here for 4 years ? If so, could you please share some examples that reflect your post ?
Thank you in advance.
I gave one earlier in this long thread as have many. But you've chosen to ignore.

The Mexican government sure was correct that a lot of formerly considered safe areas in DC (and close in MoCo) are experiencing violence. Plus the shooting this afternoon in Logan of the Park Police officer and dealer, broad daylight, and the Lululemon armed robbery at The Wharf early this afternoon. And this vid from yesterday is like something from Brazil, so hard to watch. Not sure what to tell my kids and visitors, the violent crime is in the daytime as well as after dark.

This was clearly Matt Frumin’s initial attitude. As an AU Park resident on the District’s western edge he probably felt everything was pretty much under control in Ward 3. But his eyes and ears have been opened in recent months.
Until homeless start living in Turtle Park he will continue to ignore the crime and voucher issue.
Why shouldn’t there be tent encampments in Turtle Park? Ward 3 should be more welcoming and inclusive for all!
