I had some drinks last weekend, but I did not finish a bottle of wine just because it was open. Corked it up, and let myself save it for another day. Tonight I'm choosing to not have a glass of wine. Last year it would have been a probable drink on thursday and an automatic drink on friday. I'll be happy at tennis tomorrow fresh as a daisy!

I plant to continue through February at least. Doing well so far.

Yep still here. Had a very stressful night yesterday, instead of pouring a glass I drank my water and went to bed.

I had a vacation the first week of January so didn’t start until the 7th. I’m going strong until next weekend and may continue with no drinking or just little here and there. My problem is that I don’t have an interest in drinking one glass of wine, it usually leads to more and I want to drink to feel buzzed. That’s not a healthy way of living or a good relationship with alcohol so I’m going to try to keep sober.

I cheated three times, whenever I needed wine or beer for cooking I just couldn't let the rest go to waste .

I'll extend Dry January for three more days as penance.

I'm going to keep it going because it makes me feel like a morally superior contrarian. I'm not kidding.

Yes! I have a girls trip at the end of the month. Still plan on staying dry, but I'm thinking that may be a challenge!

My suggestion is to plan around your trip. Do a Dry February except the girls trip. I think that is mindful and what, for many people, Dry January is about - resetting our baseline. Not necessarily being dry forever. Although, if being dry forever IS your goal, that is OK, too. But if being more mindful about drinking is your goal, I think you can work a girls trip in and still drink mindfully.

Yes please. I am feeling really good. I don't plan on adding wine and hard seltzer back to my home routine. I think I won't have a desire for a drink until that first warm spring day hits. So that's my plan. Hoping that gets me through February and March. No need to drink at home during the cold, dreary months.

Nah. It’s my birthday month. But, I plan to only have a few drinks this month. Mostly just socially- dinner out and occasional single glass of wine.

I really have cut back the past few years- just the two weeks off over Xmas were bad.

I never plan to abstain 100%. I’m Italian and love a good glass of wine every now and then. I won’t live like a spartan.

Congrats! Even if your January wasn’t 100% dry, I hope everyone got what they needed during the month. I know I did and hope to carry some of what I learned about my habits into the rest of the year.

There is no formal answer, just do what feels right to you!

But technically January ends at midnight.
