One of the Insta posts suggested that there will be a "Meet The Coaches" Zoom call in mid-October.
Fielding four teams (per Insta)
Fees will be in the $5500 range (including AAU/USAV Nationals)
Practices start Nov. 6th
Open division play (intend to meet the requirements for CRHVA Bid Regionals)
First tournament in December
Cap Hill
Three qualifiers (Big South, NEQ, Music City)
Good Lord 5K out the gate for a brand new club is outrageous
Just wait until they figure that they cannot attract reasonably good players to do the laundry at the three qualifiers.
100%. I wish I had half the confidence of some of these coaches who decide to start their own clubs. Coming out of the gate with teams at 4 age groups and a full schedule of 3 qualifiers and other competitive tournaments is bold. At least they have coaches listed for most age groups. Sometimes new clubs launch without having enough coaches identified or practice space arranged and then have to scale back after families have already paid which is less than good. Seems like some of their coaches are coming from the St. James and at least one of the coaches listed used to coach for Cap City Elite which doesn't appear to be around anymore.
I'd like to believe they have the best intentions, but it sure feels like it would be more prudent to start off a little less ambitious and get some teams established for a season or two before traveling all over the country to qualifiers.

I would be cautious joining a new club with no history. For example, Renaissance-Chesapeake VBC. I feel bad for the parents who spent money and time last season and then the director left.

They are in McLean, wrongly assigned in MD by Google maps. This is the club for players with rich parents who cannot make it into a better club. Terribly expensive and the parents have little to show for how much they spent.
NP and we live in Tysons and also looking for recent info. I’ve searched the forum and seen the info that they are overpriced. Unfortunately they seem to be the only club within 30 min, considering weeknight traffic. Do you have other suggestions for a player not targeting the most competitive teams or any other Mojo feedback?
Depending on practice times and traffic, there are a some other options within 30 minutes:
Libero Volleyball Club in Ashburn
BRYC in Burke
St. James in Springfield
Vienna Elite in Vienna
MOCO in Bethesda
If you are a first time club player, find the club that fits your families commute/cost requirement and that you have a chance of making a team for. Consider trying 2-3 of them prior to tryouts—if you just show up for tryouts it may be tough to get noticed. Some of the clubs above offer multiple teams at each age group (St James, Vienna elite and MOCO) so you may be able to find a team that fits you.

VA Elite in McLean. They are overpriced too, but what can you expect for living in one of the richest areas in the US.
