We found another private school, not Maret, to attend for a generous merit scholarship. Coming from a former Whittle family member even before the school closure.
It’s because his wife was big in a parent group at Whittle that knew the financial situation and asked parents to chip in to pay teachers. She so works at a search firm for HOS. So several conflicts of interest. Was she dealing dirty just to keep the school asking until her kid graduated? Did she play by the rules or help her husband get the Maret job to help stranded Whittle kids get an edge on admissions?

This is crazy. Stop with this please! Dennis did not get a job at Maret so Whittle students can get in. Dennis was not treated well at the end. He has no loyalty to Whittle. Infact I’m sure he is glad the school shut down. Their kid graduated, they have nothing let to keep them at Whittle.
1000000% THE WIFE DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FINANCES AND FURTHERMORE SHE ONLY HAD THE GUTS TO ASK OUR PARENT GROUP FOR FUNDS BECAUSE THE DIRECTOR OF THE FOOD HAD SPENT HIS LAST DIMES ON FOOD FOR THE BOARDING KIDS AND HAD NO MORE MONEY TO FEED THE KIDS. Also he left TWO YEARS ago before most of the craziness has happened so leave them out of this conversation.
Agree completely. I don’t understand why he is being unfairly treated just because of his one year stint at Whittle. Seriously people need to stop with this nonsense. Is that the level of the parents at Maret?

Naw, it's the level of trolls who hate Maret for some reason or another and want to perpetuate the myth that the new HOS is forever tainted by his brief time at Whittle. It's everything from "every Whittle student will be accepted at Maret" to "the new HOS can't possible do his job because he will be too involved in Whittle lawsuits". It's all garbage and perpetuated by folks who have a grudge.

Anonymous wrote:The new Maret HOS is likely to spend a lot of his time over the next 2 to 3 years in depositions in the various lawsuits about Whittle. It will certainly distract from his job overseeing Maret. The Maret board would be well advised to have a backup plan.

And hoping they get the backpay owed to them while they file for unemployment.
They are unsecured creditors way at the back of the line in a bankruptcy proceeding for a company that is broke to begin with. They'll never see a dime from the school.
