I agree with your statement above and in general, everything is way tooooo PC these days. People need to get in line sometimes.

However, I also think Musk takes it too far. I go back/forth on whether I like his type. Usually it's a no. I think there are things conceptually he gets right - you have to work for your money. You have to focus and sometimes it's not sexy, it's not convenient and there are things you do that have rules to them and we forget in this day and age what discipline means.
The problem is, Musk is so egotistical I can't respect him on any level. So while I hear what he is saying on some topics, I think his execution, his style and ultimately his goals and interests are too selfish for anyone to admire or even embrace. He turned into a bad apple.

While I agree that Musk is not the world's most admirable leader, I think he is right in this case. People need to stop thinking it's okay to attack and tank their own employer. There's a belief right now that as long as you say something progressive, you can say and do anything and everyone else needs to "sit down!" and "take a seat." No. Take all the seats in the unemployment line.

Based on his behavior, it's hard to understand why anyone would want to work for him. He cares little for the people who work for him. They are his serfs.

I used to be a big fan of Elon Musk but he has been acting erratic, profligate, and unstable. (I suspect that he has created a bubble where no-one is allowed to criticize him.) If I were an employee at SpaceX or another Musk-owned company, I would look for another job. But before quitting I might write a letter criticizing Musk, (knowing full-well that Musk is within his rights to fire me).

As an investor, I would stay away from Musk-owned companies. He was once a very creative businessman, but I am not going to follow him off of a cliff.

Today's Rs are just "Christian" (and I use that term extremely loosely) Nationalists, with a hint of racism thrown in.

The problem with the R party is that the crazies and nostalgic boomers (and I don't think it's just the boomers) have taken over the party.

Yes, there are crazy progressives, but they haven't taken over the Dem party, whereas Rs keep voting in the crazies and putting them into positions of power at the federal level.

I'm not a progressive liberal. I'm actually a moderate, and former R, now I. I don't support some of the progressive liberal policies, but I cannot support a party that has allowed crazy people to take over.

At the very least, progressives are trying to be inclusive and provide better living conditions for the marginalized. Their heart is in the right place, even if their brains aren't capable of thinking things through.

R party, oth, have just gone out full on crazy town. Just look at the infighting in GA by the R party -- Pence supporting Kemp on one side, and Trump supporting Purdue full-on MAGA-election was stolen on the other camp. It's like this everywhere. There is no room for moderates in the R party anymore, whereas I do think on the national level, you can't be uber progressive and win, which is why Biden won and not someone like Sanders.

It seems like Musk is pumping up Twitter stock, which I’ve been saying since he announced he wanted to buy Twitter. He’s frothing people into a frenzy, and getting folks to buy Twitter stock. Next, he will come up with an excuse for not buying it, quietly sell a huge chunk of stock, then announce Twitter is too (insert excuse) for him.
