She might have been killed by that other guy. That’s what the police are looking into now.

That's my problem. He is a dirt bag and abusive, but that doesn't mean he killed her.
Wait - we know SHE was physically abusing him! (and he didn’t fight back apparently).
plus she admits she is mentally ill on the video, she knows it, but she isn’t being treated.
She was probably abusing him mentally and emotionally too. If anyone here can be described as “abusive,” all the evidence points to her as the abuser.
can you explain how he ended up with her car?
He is innocent until proven guilty. He has not burden of proof. But I’m just like you: a disinterested observer. 3 possible scenarios I see:
- she committed suicide, or
- she stormed off in a fit of rage; maybe they had yet another major fight (they did that a lot) or
- he abandoned her or
- he killed her (probably pushed her over a cliff).
But yes - self defense is also possible: we know she was the one physically abusing him.

stealing the car is a felony. If she dies as a result of the felony, then it's felony murder. He better hope it wasn't in a state with the death penalty because felony murder usually qualifies
NP. I think he looks like a methhead.

He winds her up by gaslighting her and telling her to calm down. She is crying and emotional but he appears to be calm and stable. It only escalates from there. He was probably telling her she was out of control and couldn’t drive and needed to go take a walk. She’s thinking she’s not out of control and wants HER car keys. Just bc she’s crying doesn’t mean she’s out of control.
I’m upset the police officers described her as manic. In the video she appeared to be scared and crying but answering questions just fine. When I hear someone being described as manic I think if that person running around, screaming and out of control.
I think he left her on the side of the road somewhere in the desert. He thought she’d eventually find her way out of it- walk to a town, a passerby would help. She got lost and died. I think she’ll be found not too far from a road, dead from exposure to the elements.
Yeah, no. He had her car and her phone. Dude did not leave her alive on the roadside. He knows she’s dead.
He knows now. But I think he wanted to teach her a lesson. Took her phone so she couldn’t call for help. Wanted her to “calm down and take a walk” like before. He went back later and she was gone.
No, sorry. I’m not sure why you’re so invested in him not having actually killed her, but that is by far the mostly likely explanation for all of this.
Everybody wants to exonerate the white guy. He looks so nice/normal, right?

I'm willing to bet that 99 times out of 100 male troopers would ALWAYS say the woman more depressed, more crazy. Every time. This means ZERO to me.
Did you watch the video? She was crying and upset and admitted she was stressed about her travel video blog and was having a hard time with her anxiety and OCD. On top of that, she admitted to slapping and hitting him causing the bleeding on his face and distracting him from driving. The police asked her if he physically harmed her and she said no. They didn't charge her with assault and physically separated them for the night. They also allowed her to call her parents and keep them on the line while she was in the police vehicle and being questioned. She was wearing revealing clothes so they would have noticed any bruises or marks. What else were the police supposed to do in this situation? She showed no signs of being harmed and had multiple opportunities to ask them for help. I know people are saying they could have prevented all of this, but they left her with the van and removed the boyfriend. If things were so bad she could have just left the boyfriend behind and went home, after the police escorted him to the hotel he had no idea where she was.
