The bottom 1/4 of the roster is thirsty for minutes, while the top 1/4 is convinced the grass is greener elsewhere. They should already have a documentary series and an NIL deal. No respect.
We are still talking about M&D Black right? If so, just wondering about grass is greener elsewhere crew—are they unhappy with the coaching? Like what would they be seeking somewhere else?

It's a mixed bag. They have overhauled their plays. There is a spirit of fear in the air though; worry about getting cut this summer and fear about making any mistakes. There is a strong sense that she has a few more roster changes to make. ꧮ

Your player needs to be better than average if they want to play D1. It doesn’t matter what team your kid is on if they don’t play that well so work on speed, train on own time and don’t rely on the club or your high school to develop your player. Do the work yourself it’s all about what the player does on their own.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Capital Orange is a better option for recruiting than Hero’s White, M&d Red, MDU West or Coppermine Blue.
Capital has proven they can get their B team girls recruited. The other programs have not. They only focus on their A teams.
As as others have previously mentioned, relying on any program to get your DD recruited makes no sense at all. Definitely not a reason to choose a team. It never makes sense that so many expect the program to “get their girl recruited.”
Similarly, relying on a any college or university to get your DD a job makes no sense. It's definitely not a reason to choose a school. Do you really think going to Princeton is going to help get your DD a job?
100% spot on. This is true of all sports! Your kid and you have to do homework outside of club. Club's job is to keep the rep going so that college coaches can get lazy and go back to the well. There's way to many prospects out there to keep tabs on. And Lax is not like Football where they spend $$$ hiring people to go find prospects.
So think about chasing D1. For lax, it's expensive and the ROI is not there in terms of $. Only football and basketball provide full scholarships to players. D3 schools use sports to recruit college kids. No one is getting full pay in D3 unless you are on the low income bracket for that school. Use Lax to get into the school you want to cheat the admission queue.

Goodness. Tryouts just happened yesterday. Anxious much?!

Agreed, lots of top kids moving and bumping former top kids down. Everyone should go to at least two tryouts just in case.
Heard some out of state kids moving in as well onto the usual suspect clubs

Did the Mid-Atlantic Region sweep the national championship last year?
M&D represented us in each A division (30, 31, 32) and came away national champions of each. I’m guessing that could be a first? Quite a weekend for M&D.
I think it’s normal for mid Atlantic to sweep.
Definitely normal for mid atlantic to sweep, but not sure its always the same club. congrats to M&D Black
Last year, all of the M&D teams lost in the regional championships. This definitely was a better year for them all around.
Recruitment!
