Can someone expand on this please? I did not know this.
It’s going to be a long war. This war will go on at least 10 years with US direct involvement.
I wonder what gas prices will be.

Donald Trump’s attack on Iran will have many unintended and unforeseen consequences. One consequence even I wasn’t thinking about, but which is already clear after less than a week, is that Trump has made a strong new case for renewable energy.
He doesn’t even talk about how renewables are the cheapest( with quickest construction times) sources of electricity. Trump and republicans can stop EVs and renewables in the US but the rest of the world is a different story. The new generation Chinese of EVs have ranges in the 600-950 miles at -30 c with charging time of 5-15 minutes and the cars cost $25,000. A full charge for 600 miles with $0.17 kilowatts is roughly $30. Average range per tank of a gas car is 350-400 miles. This is the first time there is a cheaper alternative to gas and diesel for transportation.
The rest of the world’s new car sales are 25% EVs with a predicted growth of 20- 25% annually compounded growth rate with oil at $55 a barrel. Oil is double that now. This does not factor in EV heavy trucks, EV semi trucks, EV construction equipments, EV mopeds, EV motorcycle motorcycles and EV three wheel vehicles.
Diesel and jet fuel prices have increased a lot also. Look for fuel surcharges on shipping and air travel soon.
