The Kremlin has sent a lot of workers to Mariupol, particularly Russian indigenous peoples, including Buryats, Tuvans, representatives of Caucasian nationalities, and people from Central Asia.
Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol and exiled resident of the city, said that, as well as displacing Ukrainians and providing a workforce, Russia was moving out people it didn’t want in its cities. “Moscow and St. Petersburg breathed out a sigh of relief,” he said.
Around 40,000 people have relocated to Mariupol, encouraged by promises of higher salaries, according to Andriushchenko. The average pay for construction work is 230,000 rubles ($2,550) a month, he explained. “There are no such salaries in Russia now. That’s why they go to Mariupol,” he said. “At first, Mariupol residents were hired for construction work, now they’re not.”

I thought ukraine was pro multikulti and lgbtq now?
What’s wrong with other ethnicities of the fsu moving to Ukraine?
Are they making their own decision to move or are they being forcibly moved by Russia? What is Ukraine's immigration policy and have these migrants been given work permits? I thought you people are against open borders.

LOL right. OK. You convinced me. Ukraine got all its territory back and then some. All bombed-out buildings have sprung back from the earth fully done, like Athena from her father's forehead. All the refugees are back. Its economy is topping the charts. The population of young men is back to prewar levels. The wayward wives have left their slow Finnish boyfriends and reunited with their stoic husbands.
You're gloating about Russia's war crimes? You're a strange one.
I'm mocking your delusions that Ukraine is doing well in this war. It isn't.
No, you seem to think (as well as celebrating) that committing this litany of war crimes equals victory. Russia hasn't done well in this war at all, either. They failed their objectives, they've lost a catastrophic amount of material, their casualties are astronomical. They repeatedly hit civilian targets with artillery and missiles. They're adept terrorists but a failed army.
And yet....bazillions of dollars are needed to fight them. Go figure.
Who knows what Zelensky is doing with our tax dollars. Where’s the accountability?
