While it is the only school (to my knowledge)that serves pork or chicken "Barbeque"' it is not good barbeque. I am guessing it comes frozen from a white plastic bucket from COSTCO. It tastesd dry and blah'. I wouldn't order it again- espescially at $14. This summer, Do yourself a favor and try real pulled pork BBQ off a smoker. I'm sorry if the truth hurts' but I just couldn't listen to this talk about the high praise of something being passed off as great BBQ. If you're going to sell BBQ', you need to find someone to cook it the right way... on a smoker, with seasoning/rub on the pork butts, with hickory chips' for 12 hours. Then pull the pork while it's hot off the smoker. I am sorry if Centreville folks are offended-- but I'm just being honest.. Let's Go' Centreville parents-- raise your game!! Do it the right way and people will be raving about your concession stand and travelling for to your games just for the pulled pork BBQ!!
Wow. Obsessing about bbq at 3:00 am. The bbq platter didn’t debut until April, so if it’s been on you mind since March, gotta wonder if you were visiting the latrines and not the snack shop if you were getting stuff from the bucket at Centreville.
Anyway, I agree with the premise. I want to see the full smoker out there. Maybe since the Oakton product won’t be as good on the field next year as this year, they will invest in and get one to in order to distract from it. We all know the Hillbillies have plenty of hogs running around outside the gates, so maybe Battlefield will get one too. Then we can have a bbq battle and lacrosse can be just for fun once again and the real message board fights will be over bbq…
I go to work at 4am, donkey...
