Donald Trump's malignant narcissism and dementia is precisely why we have both the 25th Amendment and impeachment. Alas, the Founding Fathers did not imagine such a meek and warped entity as the Republican Party. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson could not foresee that such a spineless rat like Mike Johnson would be the Speaker of the House. And thus we have one madman in the White House who can throw the US into a stupid, profoundly destructive war on the other side of the planet based on nothing more than a whim or a mood. War with Iran is reflective of a complete systemic failure in the US.

Israel wants to see Iran reduced to the level of Syria or Lebanon—where the writ of the state is weak—so that it can focus its full energy on fighting Turkey over supremacy in the Levant. They won't care if it requires the terror bombing or annihilation of the civilian population.

You're way behind on what's going on in this war. Israel acknowledge a long time ago that Mossad was in Iran instigating protests.

And during the 12 day war, they were launching attacks within the country.
