I can't believe they would advertise an "age group lead coach" who is a parent with a kid on his team. The kid must play in a different age group. Anything else would be laughably unprofessional.

Honest questions- does his kid play on his team? Even if yes, does that automatically render him as unprofessional or incompetent?

I would also like to know. We aren't paying 3k for little kid soccer with a rec parent coach. For 3k, a professional coach should be hired.

What is your definition of a professional coach?

For starters, one without a kid on the team.

If Valor is honest with parents up-front and other parents choose to spend their money on that, fine. Do they announce at tryouts and in their offer emails that the coach is a parent with a player on the team? I suspect not.

Valor feeds fvu so of course valor would release him in this case. Last year we had to wait because of contracts for several coaches.

He announced he was coaching fvu over a month before Valor was kicked out of NVA and went begging to FVU.

False. Valor was not kicked out of NVA. They left because they wanted to stay ECNL.
not true either. They were left in the dark by loudoun. It’s obvious at this point valor cant develop.

Per their site, they started tryouts on April 12 for some of the older age groups but still have only the first teams coach publicly listed.

My kid's age group has tryouts starting this week and no one has heard anything about the coaches for next year. I really hope its not his same coach again.

Any feedback on this coach: Keith Osborne ?

Best Coach in the division. He’s a parent and knows how to communicate to kids.

The link to their 22 taxes is below; the only paid ($100k) board member is also paid a salary to run the club and coach as well, interesting. Not to mention the other orgs he’s a part of. Who knew there was so much $$$? Bring in $2.5m and have deferred revenue of $900k, interesting. Wonder what service or product they expect to deliver in the future. Looking forward to seeing 23 and 24

its funneled to other training that happens to be run by PE and crew.

What training is that?
