Don’t know but as I said in my comment, we’ve seen this movie before: Harvey Weinstein, bill cosby, Danny masterson, Kevin spacey, r Kelly, p diddy. All were rumored as predators for years but everyone turned a blind eye. When the arrests warrants went out no one was surprised. I actually think it’s problematic people are so afraid to call this behavior out.
All I had said is I don't think Ryan is a predator like the article is claiming, but if we're going by the standards that Blake placed on Justin (when all he said was "sexy"?!), then it's fair to call them out for their constant sexual innuendo. I also said that what actually caught my eye from that article is that Jodie Comer was sidelined during the press, which reminded me of when Morena Baccarin was sidelined during Deadpool. If I were an aspiring actor trying to make a name for myself, I would hate to be in the Reynolds' orbit because it always becomes the Ryan or Ryan and Blake show and I'm either going to be roped into their stupid shenanigans like Joe Keery or Brendan Sklenar, or completely ignored like Jodie Comer, even though Jodie is talented and is going to be fine. Or worse: sabotaged and sent to the basement like Justin. It's funny how consistent their playbook is, and yes this has relevance to the lawsuit, so no idea why my previous comments were reported. This is exactly why they got backlash this time, and no, it's not a smear campaign like Blake alleges in her lawsuit.
Ryan was also weirdly and profusely complimentary of Jonathan Bailey during the promo for Wicked I, a movie he had no association with. I forgot exactly what I said in the past, but my psychoanalysis of the situation is that Ryan is deeply jealous and insecure about other men, so he buddies up with them to neutralize the threat but also alleviate his jealousy at the same time.
I mean, maybe? But also what does this have to do with this case?

Well good I'm glad people are calling Baldoni out. It's about time.
Comparing what he did on that set to actual predators is why Blake is losing and people hate her so much. This does not help victims and is actually so offensive to people who have experienced sexual assault or pervasive sexual harassment.
You are comparing Justin to men who for decades, drugged and r-ped women.
All because of an entitled, racist, talentless neoo baby who was just upset about her postpartum body.

For real. I’m not that poster but….they aren’t wrong.
Medium did a deep dive on every interaction he’s had with Joe Keery. It’s pretty disturbing. In isolation if you’re just a casual fan and you see a one or two off double entendre joke like that you’re like oh he’s being funny. But they put them all together over the course of a few months that they were working together, and shoot how uncomfortable Joe was with it and how pervasive it was.
Ryan’s not a normal dude. Something off about that. In his congratulatory email to Colleen Hoover he starts it by basically saying he has to extricate himself from the president of Sony‘s mouth or something. He can’t even just send an email without making a gay s-x joke. It’s odd.
The medium article is incredibly damning. The Ryan stuff bugs me b/c it feels like we’ve seen this movie before with powerful men exhibiting awful behavior in plain sight but no one says anything until one day the FBI is raiding their home. There are people who immediately try to shut down the conversation by accusing those of us who call it out of being homophobic. No one wants to be accused of that so they don’t say anything and the abusive behavior continues. Then when the arrest warrant goes out everyone says oh everyone knew, worst kept secret in Hollywood. How many times does this have to repeat?
This is the Medium article and it is crazy. Ryan Reynolds has issues with cuter men, so his deranged treatment of Justin Baldoni is not surprising.

Wow. He is so disgusting
Interesting, I read the Medium article and it's not at all clear to me that Joe Keery was bothered or that the press stuff was anything more than an inside joke based on the characters they play in the movie, where there is indeed -- as the article points out -- innuendo. There are tons of movies advertised by how hot the female lead is (e.g., anything with Anna Faris back in the day). Do we assume the co-star doing the bit in interviews is sexually harrassing them? When the Medium article starts getting into things that their *characters* do in the movies as though having characters do things is sexual harrassment (and as though the PR campaign isn't clearly a continuation of this bit), I think it goes completely off the rails. Like, what? We're going to say that one character hitting on another is sexual harrassment? Apparently, yes, if one of the folks is also involved in producing the movie. That is both very odd to me and pretty dangerous if we apply that standard to other movies.
And then it goes on to say that Reynolds has this same personna with other male co-stars... which, if true, makes the article's extreme focus on Keery particularly bizarre.
My honest takeaway from the article was that the author was kind of homophobic and uncomfortable with male sexual innuendo as a general matter. Also, Ryan may very well be bi... but, so what?
