Must be goalie dad. Even if YT had 48 shots on cage which would be a ton for a HS game that would still be a save % at 40's not best in state type numbers. That is what could have been 30 suggests.
I assume this was someone trolling - I don't think even the most ardent supporter would try to put a positive spin on 18. Bad outings happen, they're in high school.

I would agree with pp though lacrosse peaked as a whole in NOVA about 10ish years ago. Easiest metric is probably the amount of D1 commits there were and the level of programs they were going to. Still a few teams that have a guy or two that are legit. Not much depth though and a lot of very bad teams.
Still a lot of fun competitive games and the effort is still as good as ever. Still really enjoy watching every spring. Thankful for all the refs and coaches keeping it going.

The majority of NoVA players are private school guys, and there seem to be more non-NoVA guys from VA than NoVA. Maybe it had been really solid for the years prior to that and that was approximately the peak, but it also seems like there's a moderate amount of rose colored glasses and apples/oranges comparison.
But the volume of players these days is down right? That could be a factor where there are less guys playing HS lacrosse at public schools comparatively.
