Valor feeds fvu so of course valor would release him in this case. Last year we had to wait because of contracts for several coaches.

He announced he was coaching fvu over a month before Valor was kicked out of NVA and went begging to FVU.

"We"?

Not sure that's accurate as far as the coach market. Otherwise, any new to a club coach would be a secret until June when the season ends and clubs want commitments from players way before June.

Valor tryouts are next week. Everyone expects to know the coach prior to tryouts and accepting an invite.

Yeah that sounds like some BS. Last year at least one lead coach was still coaching at a different club and they had no problem announcing them before tryouts.

Our coach at Valor this year was announced before tryouts last year and he was transferring from coaching at Reston I think. Definitely somewhere else.

What's the local ballpark rate to coach one team? Just curious. (Valor seems to have a lot of management and admin)

Many do 3 fine; but in general I agree it's hard to give full attention to more than 2 so one will get much less attention.

Agree.

some coaches are still under contract at other clubs/teams so they can't announce all the coaches yet. it's same for other clubs who have not announced full list.

Supply and demand. There are way too many local teams to find good quality coaches. Money might be a problem too. Do we know how much they pay vs other clubs?

I see you still don’t know the difference between pointing out flaws in parents’ arguments versus defending the club. So now you want to nitpick at something else that you seem to think you won a “gotcha” moment.
“Recently” may be ambiguous. I’ve been in NoVA, but moved to the vicinity of Valor before the start of the 25-26 season. I’ve had my experience at another club. It’s not that different, except the parents are less whiny. At least, online.

My motivation for being at Valor was clear. It is a short drive. Does that sound like I’m defending this club?

I think the flaw in your logic is that people are making "arguments" that you think you are cleverly (??) defeating. The only person trying to argue is you. Other posters are making observations and comments. There is nothing to argue about! Its a fact that Valor hasn't posted their coach slate yet.

If you love yourself some Valor, great. Everyone else hates Valor? Also great for you because your kids will easily get on to the top team and you can continue to enjoy whatever it is about Valor that you like (the short drive, apparently).

To you, questioning someone’s observations and comments equates to cleverly defeating? That’s setting the bar really low.

I never argued that not having a coaching slate is a good thing. I simply asked did all of the other clubs do that.

And I never said my kids are in the top teams. In fact, I even said I realize they are not as good as the top players in the top teams.

What is the max number of teams a coach can realistically coach?
