I watch shark tank and they always talk about the cost of customer acquisition and they discuss whether the customers are repeat customers. I would think the base of new 40 something upper middle class white women who would be their target are mostly tapped out. For Jen certainly and less so Glennon.

I think this is true and it seems to be reflected in the number of comments she gets on any given post. A few years ago it was hundreds. Now when she shills stuff it's a few at best. And even when she's not shilling the comments are way down. Jen still has her true believers but it seems the numbers are dwindling.

Authentic? Glennon? These women are all grifters. Scary how much influence they have

Her larger point about feeling alone and not having everything figured out is relatable, yet it doesn't resonate at all when she throws comments in that are not only contrived but serve a "dumb blonde female" persona she seems to find funny. And then follows with: "Just know that, darlings." Ugh, so patronizing and gross

Ugh I felt the whole G podcast was patronizing and fear-mongering. The whole, oh you married folks and pretend to be happily married folks better watch out! Betrayal can happen to you, too!
The "certainty" Jen and Glennon feel about things is so wrong. Why should anyone listen to you two nutty ladies now? You are certain now? What happened to 5 or 10 years ago?
And then the laughing at the Bible verses from Proverbs, of all places. Like these ladies are wiser than Solomon. Every time I think they can't surprise me, they do it again. They are so far from any real wisdom or joy.

I don’t understand why G keeps having her on. It doesn’t seem to fit with G’s brand of authenticity to me.

I’m guessing you are right about them having already gleaned most of the demographic they are geared toward. Now Jen is brainstorming how to get more money out of the followers she has under her sway. Those 40 something wealthy white women have lots of money to throw away on impulse buys to help enrich their make believe friend on social media aka Jen Hatmaker.

I listened again to that part about never being betrayed again to make sure I heard Jen right. She said she doesn’t have to worry about it happening again because now she’s paying attention. Then Glennon was like, “you aren’t saying you won’t ever get betrayed again cause who the heck knows, you are saying you won’t betray yourself again.” To which, Jen says, “exactly.” But that’s not what she said or meant but she liked the words Glennon put in her mouth too.

I feel like these two ladies are control freaks, they only have people in their lives who enjoy orbiting their world, agreeing with all of their mantras. Even Abby a world class athlete, the female GOAT soccer player becomes a sycophant around Glennon. What is this power that Jen and Glennon have to manipulate women?

I did cringe at the number of times she said how smart and wise she is to Glennon. And how she will never ever be betrayed again cause she’s too smart now to be fooled, and her body will tell her. The hubris is staggering. We have countless examples of Jen not exercising wisdom these past 2 years. Plus there is no way anyone anywhere can be certain they won’t be betrayed. We aren’t God and can’t know all the things all the time. She’s telling herself this lie to feel safe while being in a questionable long distance romance.

Reflecting on her recenty podcast with GD where she talks about getting her sh*t together, she claims that even with the progress she's made, she still finds herself in a quandary about things--that's understandable. To illustrate this, she claims she recently asked her friends, "What is the difference between state and federal taxes?"

FOR REAL?

Um, sorry, I don't believe it. She's not that stupid.

For my mental health I need to believe this is false. No one is that stupid.

It isn't relatable to be an idiot incapable of googling something. You are a white woman of means. If you are ignorant on a topic, then educate yourself.

And if you don't know how taxation works kindly STFU anytime you want to opine about government and politics.

Yep, Glennon has also used the "dumb" hot mess persona over the years to garner favor with her followers. (She recently retold her completely BS story that she didn't know what "bring a dish to share" to a potluck meant, so she just brought like a serving tray. Puh-lease). And her ridiculous "THE soccer" "THE golf" "THE basketball",etc crap. Just talk like a normal adult. All this just makes it clear how insecure she is. Everything is a schtick and an act (being a "soccer mom" for Angel City, etc - and I love Jen Garner, but this is all so over-the-top for Glennon to get attention for being associated with famous people).

And Jen sure was in prime form on the podcast going on about how "smart" she is and how she makes "a lot" of money. Just classic narc stuff - has to be the ULTIMATE victim but at the same time also has to "win" at everything in life.

Jen and Glennon are hyper-privileged con artists, as far as I'm concerned.

If she knows so little about how our system works,- state vs federal taxes??- how can she comment intelligently about public policy?
If you are almost 50 and don't know how to get a license plate, I'd say you have either been locked in a cave or led an incredibly privileged life. The kind of life her "tribe" would attack others over, like when poor old George Bush didn't know how things were scanned at the grocery store.
I pray that no more women check in their common sense and start following Jen. It's sad.
