Highlights:
- AZ vaccine analysis shows reduced transmission of the virus, not just simply preventing symptomatic infections (hurray!)
- The analysis also estimates good efficacy after just one shot (76%!!)
- Suggestions that there could be higher efficacy with more spaced-out doses. Vaccine efficacy appeared to rise when the time between shots was spaced out from less than six weeks to more than 12 (that really helps with supply issues)
Moderna is 80% effective after 1 dose. Pfizer is only 52%.
