KJ is an evaluator and I would be willing to bet when coaches, who are picking the teams are unsure, she is adamant they should pick this kid. Her goal is to get as many Stars/SSSAS on Cap because it's the best option so I'm sure she advocates for that.
But I've also talked with her after the fact where she has lamented that a coach has ignored her and picked someone else that she didn't agree with.
And I bet she has pushed for some players who have not worked out either....

Alteast for the 31s girls, they might have an opportunity to move to different teams knowing what is happening with Cap prior to HS tryouts.
If you talk to any 2031 parent, most already have their eyes on the 2030 tryout process. If things unfold the way many expect and the team ends up being primarily BLC Blue 2030 players, then a lot of the area 2031 players will likely attend the BLC 2031 tryouts this summer to position themselves for Capital next year. It would also reinforce the perception that the CAP program has been successful, and worth the high cost.
Capital has it easy with the 2030 class, with only one dominant local team, but things get difficult next year. There’s broader talent across the 2031 class overall, with Stars, BLC, and YJMA all making the NGLL playoffs this season. All three of these local teams are currently ranked in the top 20 nationally for the 2031 class.
I don’t think every 31 on the area will tryout for capital. Nor will they tryout for blc if all the blc 30s make blue, which is far fetched. Capital wants the top talent. There is a lot going on behind the scenes to try to get the top talent.
I think there will be movement this year for 31s to various clubs.
I don’t think capital is going to get the same amount of talent as one would think.
Can someone come back to this thread later and let us now how many of each club makes 2030 Capital? Since they don't post their rosters, I'm not sure how everyone figures it out
Yes, please do come back to this thread later - inquiring minds want to know. Seems to be a lot of negativity over a tryout that hasn't even happened yet. Interested in seeing how this pans out.
I can see how it can be interpreted as negativity, but I don’t think that’s the intention. The majority of girls who should make cap blue do make it, but there are always surprises every year. Just consider other options if things don’t work out in your favor.

BLC essentially owning Capital with the merger, and Bres with his daughter's 2030 team and her friends, it will essentially be whatever he says goes. If his opinion didn't matter, then why was he the ONLY parent allowed to be at the evaluation clinics? I think he will get to choose his 2030 team as with other years on BLC and he may even coach it too.

Depends on each year. For 2028s i dont think one single BLC girl made Capital (Either Blue or Orange). Not sure on the 2029s. 2027's had many BLC girls (7+) make Cap Blue and then a few made Orange
