(1) tons of maskless people including maskless unvaccinated children at multiple rest stops
(2) tons of maskless/unvaccinated people/children at the restaurant where we stopped for lunch
(3) tons of maskless/unvaccinated people/children at our hotel
Now we are going to go spend time with our extended families. Unmasked. Adults are vaccinated/kids are not.
This is way more risk than we normally take in DC.
And if you did that all in MD or VA it would be “safe.”

They'll get shut down because of unvaccinated parents.
They’re going to get shut down because of a combination of unvaccinated parents and reckless vaccinated parents who refuse to do the bare minimum to keep our kids safe in school.
I don't actually think they'll be shut down at all. Sure there will be cases but I don't think they'll be closed.
Unvaccinated parents run a far greater risk to transmission than travel (particularly if that travel is to visit unvaccinated people).
But of course we like doing on DCUM is focusing our attentions on the smaller impacts, not the bigger impacts.
