This has been explained by the author of the charts. The Y axis is log scale. It is meant to measure the trajectories of the spread. The size of the population doesn't matter, as it is a constant in the logarithm. If you measure how fast a forrest fire spreads, the size of the forrest doesn't change the trajectory much. It is how you fight the fire and the weather condition makes the difference.
I was told by a credible authority if you just rake the forest floors you won't have more fires. Maybe we can rake the virus? I don't know it's just a thought.

Huh?
People leaving NY.
Yes. New Yorkers are spreading the virus.
Florida failed to close down during spring break. That was FAR more impactful than anything associated with NY.
Time will tell.
New York should have put restrictions in place sooner
Florida should have nixed spring break.
Louisiana should have cancelled Mardi gras
But that's too late now. Focus needs to shift to preventing disease crossing state lines.
To be truly effective these lockdowns need to be far more aggressive.

They’re predicted as the next location for the next “hot spot” surge. Its very sad.

Not minimizing COVID19 - at all. Terrified of it and concerned about the latest death tolls/infection rate. I’m social distancing and following all the protocols, etc. In other words, please don’t flame me. Simply curious.
The problem is that we just don’t know what with the Trump administration actively suppressing tests since January. There is no way the current Covid death toll is remotely accurate. I hope doctors are saving blood samples.
It is my understanding medical professionals report directly to the CDC as well as their state's health department. Do you think both organizations are not reporting correctly or are corrupt?
