I think freezing whites and yolks separately in tinny snack ziplock would work too.

So apparently you can frieze fresh eggs!! Because cooked you surely could. I successfully froze milk and orange juice and parmesan. before but never eggs.

In a home freezer, you can freeze eggs for up to one year. When you're ready to use frozen eggs, thaw them overnight in the refrigerator or under running cold water. Use egg yolks or whole eggs as soon as they're thawed. ... Use thawed frozen eggs only in dishes that are thoroughly cooked.

This is for cooked eggs..

I haven't been able to find any at all this week. Have tried grocery stores, Target/Walmart and CVS.

If anyone knows what stores still have stock in Montgomery County, would you mind sharing?

Thanks in advance.

Fairfax Costco was a zoo today!

I bought:

Multiple loaves of bread, now in the freezer
Pizza kits (shelf stable)
Cereal bars
Pasta sauce
TP
Water

Plus a big order of canned goods and such from Amazon.

Nothing we won't use anyway, but good to have one hand until we see how this develops.

I'm one of the goat posters (my parents were back-to-the-landers and that was a cultural movement but not a cult). We always had 100lb sacks of flour, sugar, oats, etc. They still bring me way too much food when they visit. Right now I'm on the high side of my standard non perishables. I have for one adult and one child:

10lbs of flour
15lbs assorted sugars
a mix of dried milk/canned/tetra pak/non dairy creamer
1/2lb yeast
5lbs coffee
5lbs old fashioned oats
10lbs dried beans
10 cans assorted beans
1 gallon (equivalent) peaches/applesauce/oranges
""corn, green beans, mixed vegetables
"" assorted canned and tetra soups
a few pounds of canned fish and meat
shelf stable pepperoni, pesto, capers
dried shrimp
50 sheets of nori
a few bags of shelf stable pickled vegetables
ramen noodles
10lbs of white rice
5lbs of assorted other grains
2.5 gallons of assorted oils
10lbs pasta and rice noodles
so much pie filling and jam
5 boxes of cereal

I just got back from aldi with $250 worth. Pastas, pizza ingredients, taco ingredients, soups and canned goods. I also have topped off both cars gas tanks in case of emergency.

Because there’s a 2 week delay in when you catch it until you get sick, we’re not seeing the iceberg yet. It’s probably out there and people just aren’t showing signs yet.

They will probably try quarantines/containment at first until it becomes unsustainable and they give up. But yes, I have a full stockpile which I plan to replenish reguarly as we use things up. And won't go below a 2/3 tank of gas.

Well come to think of it this is not the greatest concern...
Think about having to go shop among many sick people, bringing home stuff from the store that can be contaminated..
You stockpile to avoid shopping as long as humanly possible Aka till it will be safe again to shop.

So being isolated is one thing but avoiding shopping for a long while requires different planning. You simply reducing chances of exposure exponentially increasing safety by a whole lot.
